  How can Budvar and Urquell rate that low on beeradvocate? I know Pilsners aren't sexy at the moment but these brews are mothers milk, dammit! There's a goddamn European Protected Designation of Origin on these beers!

    btw Hoegaarden is usually $45 @ Costco.
    Pilsner Urquell = happiness! Reminds me of the days over in Czech were we were paying 9c for a 500ml beer and that included a 5c bottle deposit. Why did I ever leave?

        Yeah I'm still at stage 3 :-)
        I joined up because they do glasses. My lens were $400 @ Spec savers, $200 at Big W and $130 at Costco (and they were willing to use my existing frames). So membership in theory paid for itself :-) Everything else is, siuch as cheap beer & the tendloin steaks (OMG) is a delicious bonus.

    For those lucky enough to live in Sydney Jim's Cellars have Urquell for $39.99 ($6 delivery, $10 to Canberra). Almost but not quite tempting enough. I usually buy from the original advertiser (since they were good enough to do the discount) rather than price match with lazy groups like DM so I'll pick some up next time I'm visiting.

    Tried a mid strength Asahi last night. Crisp and refreshing as the label says. I was pleasantly surprised but my fav cheapie at $30, Hollandia, is almost as good for the "everyday" drink with pizza or spicy food.
