FYI this is the Korean model with a built in TV tuner… which will be just extra luggage for users here since it's tuned to Korean DTV only. It also gives up wireless charging, so don't try putting it onto your QI charger. Won't work.

The CPU is faster though, compared to the global version of the G3 which comes with Snapdragon 801.

    • This one has 3gb RAM as opposed to 2 in the model you linked. Also uses a snapdragon 805 processor compared with the older 801 in the D855.

      • +2

The 32GB of the D855 have 3GB ram, the difference between the 805 and the 801 is barely noticeable.
Funny enough, the f460 doesnt have bluetooth for some reason

For bang for your bucks, you can even get the D850 for $285 here:

Damn for 285 (or even down to 260 I saw) that's a steal for a great phone!! Even xiaomi struggles to compare to that; fine no warranty and older cpu…but for most people who cares!?

The F460 does have BT. A quick Goggle search show this. How could a smartphone NOT have BT these days.

        • +1

The GPU is only about 40% faster.. I wouldn't call that barely noticeable, especially with a QHD screen.

        • @krouton24: http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_g3_lte_a-6520.php

Strange, doesn't shown to have bluetooth on GSM.

        • @highdealer:
Yeah that's were I went to first as well but thought that can't be right.

  • I got a 3gb gold d850 for $232 in ebay sale not long back, great phone works fine.

    • That is such a great deal! Do u mind sharing which eBay seller u got it from?

  • Would the price of a G4 drop to $400 by March/April, considering the G5 is out tmr?

Not likely as the AUD is so low.
If the AUD was stronger, likely yes.

  • G3 really is still an incredible phone.

Screen is amazingly sharp and accurate (not hyper saturated like most OLEDs). The screen to bezel ratio is as good as it gets - large screen but very compact (iPhone 6 plus looks ridiculous next to it with it's huge edges).

With CloudyG3 2.5 rom I still get many hours of screen on time on my 2 year old gold D855. If I only use it lightly I'll get 2 days easily.

The 3Gb RAM version does help - I have both and it is better (despite what some sites said at the time) if you're a power user (lots of browser tabs and multitasking).

Absolute steal, though I wouldn't be surprised if it's cheaper by the end of the month.

    • Yeah, I'm still on the stock ROM, the 3gb is useful with the stock ROM, new apps can be very RAM hungry.

  • Isnt this the one which has poor battery issue? (G2 versions are excellent - i have old G2 pro - hard to find spare batteries for however).

    • Never had battery issues with any of the 4 we've had in the house. Battery life is great.

Make sure you're updated, or ideally running a clean stock based ROM such as CloudyG3.

  • If you're having issues ID say it's your own software or configuration that is the problem…

For people who are interested here is the review
    http://www.trustedreviews.com/lg-g3-review

    • No need to read professional review - one of the best regarded phone in OZB, and in my book one of the best valued Android phone period

      • "CONS

        Average battery life"

think that has been pointed out a few times when the phone was released. Its one of its weekpoints.

  • Is this an OZ G3. Is it single or dual sim.
