Hey Rep, free delivery and you have a deal ?

    • +1

Or how about free shipping on all of the cubes for OzB? CUBARSE can be the promo code

  • cheaper but slower delivery at cubezz.com and the zhanchi is outdated, the only reason to have a sale like this is to clear stock as it's several years old. I'd recommend the aolong v2, thunderclap or gans 356 instead.

    • +1

It is an older cube, but still one of our most popular for people who just start out with speedcubing and certainly one of our all time best sellers. All your recommendations are perfect though - note that the GANS 356 V2 Primary Color is also in our clearance section.

Sorry - cant do free delivery. You wont get this cube cheaper in Oz, and you will certainly not get it delivered faster (If you order over the weekend you should have your cubes by Tuesday!) You are welcome to checkout our over 1000+ reviews.

  • Is the shipping flat $7? As in if I buy 5 cubes, what's the shipping cost?

    • $7 is flat - you wont be charged more than $7 for all your combined items irrespective of how many cubes you order.

  • Can you do the same price for the stickerless version?

    • +3

OK, as this is our first bargain… I have just applied the special to stickerless Zhanchi V5 (see clearance section). Not much stock of this unit and the special will probably only last till end of the weekend though!

What's everyone fastest attempt at completing a cube?

My best attempt is about to reach 27 years

    • Did a 45 second once. Usually average a minute.

Haven't cubed for 3 years or so now :(

    • +5

It takes me a couple of minutes but my sons PB is 10.1 seconds.

He solved one in a couple of minutes, but he was doing somersaults on the trampoline at the time. He put it up on YouTube if you want to see it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxvrO8UoU_I

Cubezz ship from China. Shipping takes minimum two weeks and good luck with any post purchasing issues!

      • +1

I have ordered from cubezz and they are great

        • +3

          Not saying they aren't.

The reason many (most?) speedcubers use us in Australia is because of our speed to deliver and great local service and advice and our no nonsense return policy. If there is an issue - we replace at our cost irrespective of problem. (Checkout our site reviews if you are skeptical)
Q on cubezz: How long does delivery take (average)?
Q on cubezz: If you have an issue, how long would it take to resolve and what would the costs and time for shipping both ways? I note the following from their website "If you are not satisfied with our product because it doesn't work, you can send them back to us in 10 days after you receive it for refund, in this case, we don't refund the shipping fees. Buyer should pay to ship the itme(s) back.
If the product doesn't work, you can send them back to us in one month for exchange, buyers pay the shipping fees for sending back to us, and we pay the shipping fees for resending them to buyers.

Which seems fair, but shipping even small packages to China or US is at least $18.
If you have an issue with your cube from speedcube.com.au or you are not totally satisfied your problem will be rectified within a couple of days - without any cost to you.

I made a $100 purchase from SpeedCube last week. It arrived in two days. All packaged well. Someone who is part of the hobby I'm happy support this Australian company since last year, especially for the tracking and express postage option.

Not sure why there is so much negativity on this deal. It's really not a bad price, and it is rare to find an Australian speed cube dealer. Some people might want it quick and not have to wait up to a month to get their cube.

Also from memory I think you pickup the cube from their premises which is about 30 mins east of Melbourne. Rep, correct me if I'm wrong.

Is there a multiplayer mod available?

  • Is there such thing as a speed cube with the black but without sticker? Like the coloured parts are part of the plastic?

Or do these speedcubes just use a really good sticker? Have bad experience with cheapo cubes in the past where the sticker peels after a while.

    • Yes, we have stickerless speed cubes and they are quickly becoming the norm . Just search our site for the word "stickerless" and you will see heaps of options. The DaYan Zhanchi stickerless is on sale - http://www.speedcube.com.au/collections/clearance/products/d…

      • But the stickerless version the entire section is just a solid colour. Is there one with black and colour but not stickered… hope you know what i mean.

        • +1

No, these would be way too hard to make, it's better to invest in quality stickers but for a cheap price you probably won't get them (stickers will be like $5)

        • I think what you want is a black / tiled 3x3 cube which is more common in 2x2 - the only 3x3 tiled cube we have in this configuration being the original Rubiks Speedcube Pro Pack - http://www.speedcube.com.au/products/new-rubiks-speedcube-3x….

You really should not have any issues with the stickers on the Zhanchi or any of our other 3x3's - they are quality and we do provide replacement stickers by AusCubeStickers (run by Austrlian Sam Chaplin who is well known in AU cubing circles) and Halczuk Stickers ( by Michal Halczuk - Poland) - both provide high quality vinyl stickers replacement sets.

  • When rubies first came out when I was a kid I had one (so did nearly every kid) but although I thought it was cool how it turned and worked I could never get the hang of it.

Now I'm 50, maybe I should try again.
Any hints or tips as I can't get my head around what to look for to complete the puzzle.

You need to learn the moves - unless you do that, you have no hope at all.

Go and watch some Youtube tutorials, and keep practicing until you know each move off by heart.

You cannot compare a chinese import to a local seller. Warranty and ACL makes a big difference.

And it seems this is the regular price of this product from 0p see here

      The price was revised yesterday

It was $17.50 just two days ago.

And the market price in AU(top right corner)

You need to scroll down and look at the raw data. The data includes different cubes and primarily consists of cubes sold from China via ebay.

    • Cubes listed on eBay primarily ship from China - they take on average 2 weeks to ship and if there is any issue things get expensive and complicated very quickly. These stores are not in Australia and are not subject to duties, taxes, don't maintain liability insurance etc.

RE: ~AUD $10 shipped (from reputable seller from China) - untrue - using the link you provided even from China the cubes are ~$13+ with the cheapest being $12.79. Note - there are also knock offs in circulation - not all DaYan Zhanchi's are DaYan Zhanchi's.

This is the best deal for a cube shipped from Australia. With the $1.50 discount coupon the cube is $13.50.

The regular price is $17.50 - it has been that for well over 6 months now. We use an integration solution which ensures our prices are consistent across our website and eBay store - the eBay pricing would have updated yesterday doing so. So our offer on our eBay store is the same until we change the price on the website - although the discount code is only valid and accepted on the website.

Marketplace data clearly uses eBay as it's main source of data and comparison.
