    Static ice shows the drill at $60 as of yesterday. Not quite the $99 saving they suggest on the site, but still a 50% saving.

    I bought the hedge trimmer last week for $30 too.
    When I opened it the box wasn't sealed properly.
    I used it over the weekend - it worded pretty well on my murraya hedge. Can't complain.
    However, once I had finished I looked at the instructions I realised the plastic hand guard was missing.
    Will take it back and get a refund - then buy again at this price.

      What time did you get there?

      I got there about 6.15pm and picked up a sander and blower.

      Went to Chermside and they had a few blowers and sanders left, and a single grinder. No hedge trimmers though :(

    Website stock listings appear to be wrong. They only have the sander at the Macquarie store but the stock listing says that there is stock.

      Went in to the store based on one of the previous B&D deals. Couldn't find stock on shelf even though it showed on their website.

      Was told by staff member at BigW Macquarie that their website is 3 weeks behind.

      when i was in box hill Big W on Friday, they HAD stock but when the guy scanned the sander i was purchasing and saw it was $30, his eyes lit up and said he's going to have a look at the rest of the range and see if they're on sale

    Went to get a refund on the $30 hedge trimmer from the previous deal and to repurchase it but the hedge trimmer is still scanning at $30.
    The web site has two items listed - one for $30 with the model number GT110XE and one for $15 as model number GT110-XE.
    Called customer support re the web site listing and they couldn't find the item by name, reference number or either model number. They tried to tell me that the $15 listing must just be a cached page, blah, blah,… So after trying a few search methods I eventually found the item using the search term hedgetrimmer (one word). This was confirmed by customer support. Then customer support advised the manager of the store about this and I eventually got the $15 refunded.

          I didn't ask about the sander - we already have a really good Bosch one. The nice thing about the Big W site is that when it thinks there is low stock it offers you the phone number to call the store direct (Woden is 02 6132 9804), so you could call and ask. However, given the general comments about this deal saying that the web site is way out of date, my confidence is low…

          We got ours at Bunnings a couple of years ago, but it doesn't show up on their site anymore.

          So far we've used it to sand about 1/2 the exterior of our house and it is still going strong…

    Unbelievable prices. Probably never to be repeated. Bought the hedge trimmer and blower/vac just after Xmas for just over $30. Both work well and I am very happy with the purchase. Great buy if you can find stock.

    That drill has a max torque of only 21Nm so it would be fairly useless for all but the most basic task. I'd look elsewhere even at this price.

      I did this yesterday after going to 3 different BigW's and none had any in stock. Walked into masters and wow the apprehensiveness from their Burnside store staff to price match was high to say the least. They tried everything to not to price match the hedge trimmer, from saying their computers can't connect to the Internet to price check to having to call up stores to verify stock even if the BigW website showed stock (after ringing 3 different stores I get the feeling they still didn't have any in stock and as the queue behind me at the front counter began to grow, the staff member just told me that the last store he rang has one left haha). Eventually walked out with a $13.50 hedge trimmer. (-10% price beat guarantee). Burnside Masters have 2 left in stock.

      Went to Masters just now to try my luck at price matching (before the Big W website updates and says 'out of stock'). Spoke to one lady who said they wouldn't price match clearance items. Walked around, spoke to someone else who managed to get a manager to price match (but not beat). They had 2 others in stock at Northland. Feeling rather pleased I was able to get a $15 B&D hedge trimmer.
