    This is a pretty hard sell given you can do all of this with free high quality libraries such as bootstrap and JQuery UI.

      Main difference between libraries you mentioned and many more and AUI is the lightweight. While the said libraries carry unnecessary dependencies and results in bigger than usual library file size. AUI total file size code+styles is about 115KB. Very few libraries can claim that.

      Not to mention AUI has unique controls like AUI Property Sheets that are found on very popular and common for Windows development environments.

        Size isnt really a selling point. Both bootstrap and Jquery allow you to take only what you want. Along with tools like uncss your not pulling in anything you dont need, one of my sites built around bootstrap only ends up using around 1.5kb of bootstrap css once stripped.

        You do have some nicely designed widgets on a desktop browser, but your sites not responsive, and neither are any of your widgets…
        People would be insane to learn a new framework and build a site in it with no support for mobile / tablets.

          Thanks for your feedback. At this stage AUI isn't mature enough (version 0.19) to power up an entire website we do believe it can add value to existing sites with its unique set of widgets.
