$5 Movie Tickets at Dendy Cinemas (for You & a Guest)

Got this email from Dendy Cinemas a few days ago.. Decent deal if Dendy Cinemas weren't a 45min drive away.. Locations in Newtown and Opera Quays (Circular Quay/Opera House area), there was one in Byron Bay and Canberra but idk if they still exist.

Hope someone gets some use out of it :)

  • I cant seem to get the Promo Code to work online, Anyone else having this issue?

Seems to work for me (Canberra), you'll have to select the promo ticket and not the regular ones.

Need to use desktop site to enter code after selecting movie & session time, then select promo ticket from list for $5 + $1.20 booking fee.

Worked in Brisbane after changing from mobile site on Android phone. May try showing the deal on phone next time.

    Only Brisbane, Canberra or Sydney.

Thanks but this bit at the bottom of the ticket selection worries me:

"For all ticket types other than 'Adult', proof of entitlement will be required at time of collection from the Box Office. Club Dendy members are entitled to two discounted tickets per card. If purchasing more than two Club Dendy tickets you will be required to present more than one card at the box office when the tickets are collected, otherwise full price will be charged. Failure to provide proof of entitlement for tickets other than 'Adult' will forfeit the applicable tickets. No refunds, exchanges or transfers are available. "

Is the email proof of entitlement?
And are you a Club Dendy member? If this is a Club Dendy promotion then if three people buy a ticket someone will get challenged to produce a membership card or pay up for full price?

Scanned barcode on my phone, didn't even mention that they were discount tickets. Date night wasn't marred by my tightarsery, hurrah for tacit bargains!

There's still one in Canberra but since Hoyts have gone to full electric recliners with separated rows, it's hard to go back.

When's the last time they cost $5 though? Didn't know they had the recliners though, will have to try them at some stage

      • +1

I'm trying them out on Saturday. $14.50 incl bf via Optus.

The last two times I have been I have been given $11 any session tix after I bought my regular ticket, even when using a free ticket and on tightarse Tuesday.

Hoyts is near me, Dendy isn't, so that's a double win. I will use Dendy if I am going to the city and getting food and drinks but they have lost me.

  • Too bad they're not in the shanghai cup :(

  • Seems they also have O-Week promotion for students as well :
