What volume should I watch this at?

    • As loud as possible. The audio in these movies is absolutely incredible.

I keep thinking of this emoji whenever I see that cover…🫢

    • +1

That emoji doesn't show up on my desktop (appears as a square), but it does on my mobile. Just so you know.

  • This is not 4K, right?

      TV Standard
      HD

Pretty crap for 2021, should be 4k HDR/DV

Your tv would upscale it and it probably has s/hdr but still…

What do you mean by ‘should be 4K’? That also exists, it just costs more money.

  • Not hating, but genuine question, why would u/anyone buy this when u can stream these for free on so many websites in the wild. I can understand buying a whole series or even a season for the sake of repeat binging, but why just 2 movies?

    • +1

I can give you two reasons
      1. Old people who have figured out discs but not streaming. If your not one of them, you know one of them.
      2. Streaming is not guaranteed to stay the same in the future. In 10 years time, who knows what the price or the range will be

      • in 10 years time, we knows what the tech will be

      • +1

Also, physical media can look and sound a lot better and can be viewed multiple times without any additional costs

        1. Because the quality (especially the audio) is significantly better than streaming on a good system.
    • +6

1080p bluray generally looks as good as 4K streaming due to higher nitrate, lossless audio will sound better, and your guaranteed to have the movie - movies can disappear from streaming services at any time

    • +2

For the loss-less Atmos soundtrack on these discs.
If you have a good Atmos sound system, the audio clarity available from physical media is much better over any current streaming provider.

  • Fair call mate.

There's so many keyboard people on here… Wait for the trigger, it's great.

I agree why bother if it's not 4k unless you'd like to add the discs to your collection.

For e,g, (yes I know it's not movies) I like to keep xbox and ps5 games on physical media. I also have gamepass but it could just be personal preference.
