Oh man. I am seriously tempted.

    • +3

You should. I carry one in my bag all the time and keep my Nexus 5 with it's shocking battery life going strong all day long.

      • Yeah, I only recently got one of the 10000mAh ones and it's fantastic.

    • can you get on a plan with this in carry luggage? i seriously doubt it

      • +2

I've gone through Melbourne airport a dozen times without any issues.

      • +2

I just had a trip overseas and brought along the following in my backpack
        Xiaomi 5000, 16000, 20000
        2 x UE Mini Boom
        2 x UE Boom 2

With all those batteries going thru x-ray there was no issue whatsoever at sydney airport

  • I need me one of these!

  • Theres QC 3.0 powerbank now. Man…technology is evolving very quickly

    • Sure is. QC3 focuses more on efficiency than speed in comparison to QC2.

      • what's the possibility of getting a QC3 deal in Mr Clear?

        • I'm waiting to hear back if any of it will be AU.

    • Which power bank has 3.0?

  • How long does it take to charge using quick charge 2.0?

    • +1

7 Hours according to the Geekbuying page

      • So the Xiaomi 20000mAh has quick charge 2.0?

        • It supports Quick Charge 2.0 and other similar fast charging methods. I'm getting confirmation on how long it takes to charge with QC.

        • @Clear: It takes 7 hours to charge with QC2.0, and 9-10 hours with a standard 2A charger, iirc.

        • @raven2000: You're right.

    • +1

I don't have any flat ones nearby to test, but from memory it's about 6-7 hours from 0 to 100%.

  • +1

    OMG. I am tempted again..

  • Ugh. Want. Just got the 10000 and it's so good.

    • +1

      You can never have too many. I have 2x 10400, 1x 5000 and 1x 20000 ;)

      • +1

Hahaha. :) Especially considering my girlfriend has commandeered mine!

      • You can probably chain them up and jumpstart your car as well with that many mAh at your disposal lol

PS +ive vote from me, good deal!

      • +1

What about if you had 200?

  • Can this output 9v and 12v for non QC devices?

    • +3

Only the input supports QC, so it'll charge 5V/2A with normal chargers.

      • Thanks Clear.

  • Hey @Clear, what would be the typical shipping time on these?

    • Free shipping is around 15-30 business days.

  • I bought the 16000mAh power bank over a year ago for $50. It charges my phone in less than 30 minutes. Great price if you don't have one.

    • +7

Your phone has a very small/depleted battery in that case

  • uuuuuug to get or not….sigh.
    EDIT: Purchased ;)

  • I have a nexus 5X. Can this output via the USB C port or is that only for charging the powerbank itself?

    • +1

Micro port is for charging the device only.

      • Thanks, I guess I can just use the charging cable and flip it around.

        • +1

That won't work. You need a USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable, and one that is compliant with the official specs. One of these will work fine: https://usbccompliant.com/

        • dbl

    • What you're seeing is the micro usb port for charging the power bank. You'll have to use a USB to Type-C cable to charge your phone.

  • oh man. like the others i bought a 10k one few months ago and have a 5k from awhile back thats still going strong. this is starting to look a lot like eneloop and SD card tanking on my behalf :S

  • -1

Is the quick charge to chaege the power bank or the output to the phones?

    • QC is to charge the power bank.

      • +4

7 hours to charge the power bank is not quick.

        • I'd have to test to see if that is with or without QC.

        • What if you used all 3 ports to charge the unit at the same time? 😂

        • Alright, so with a standard charger you're looking at 7 hours. With a QC or similar charger its <2 hours.

        • With a QC or similar charger its <2 hours.

Do you sell the quick charger?

        • @PW: I'm actually mistaken again. There was a misunderstanding between what I meant to GB. The downside of Mandarin to English.

You're looking at 6-7 hours to charge with QC2 and 9+ with a normal charger. Considering the high capacity and how long it normally takes to charge a phone it's pretty good.

        • That looks the same as my Samsung quick charger plug. The output is 2.0A.

16000mAh takes up to 8 hours to charge
20000mAh takes up to 10 hours to charge

        • @PW: For Quick Charge 2.0 I recommend this 5 port as it comes with an AU plug and I have it on sale every few weeks.

The only Samsung models that support Qualcomm's Quick Charge technology is the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge.

      • +2

Ah bummer … why only quick charge for the power bank but not for the power bank to charge the phone… what logic is that in the design?

    • -1

Quick charge output and slow charge input.

  • I wish I could find one to charge a Macbook Pro.

    • This one does charge a macbook pro.

  • Would this also charge a surface pro 4 with the respective cable?

    • AFAIK the Surface Pro 4 is using a proprietary plug that is not available with USB.

      • Thanks for the answer. There are cables available though not directly from microsoft, apparently they work well.

  • +1

How long for shipping to Sydney?

    • You're looking at up to 30 business days as it's coming from China.

  • +1

When I apply the code, it comes to $44.10?

    • +1

      happening to me too

      • TY

      • I got charged $44.61 when I paid in USD. That's $1.80 more

    • +1

I'm required to put the AU price in the title and I base it off the current exchange rate. The AU rate on Gkb can be slightly off and Paypal will take their cut if you pay with USD through them.

To get as close to that price I recommend paying in USD with a credit card setup through Paypal setup to use it's own exchange rate and doesn't have any currency conversion fees. Citibank Plus and 28 Degrees don't have currency conversion fees.

      • Hey rep I ordered 2 of these but only got $5usd off should I have done two seperate orders?

        • Yes. The coupon only takes $5 off. If you use the Live Chat in the top right corner of the website they can sort it out for you.

        • @Clear: Cheers what should I tell them exactly?

        • @Ronnie23: That you'd like to cancel and get a refund so that you can make 2 separate orders to get the discount on both. Something like that ;)

        • @Clear: Thanks man I really appreciate it!

        • @Clear: The person I spoke to online couldn't understand me so I gave up and left it as is since ordering two together qualified me for free TNT shipping =)

        • @Ronnie23: I don't think TNT will ship these.

        • @Clear: Well I was eligible for free tnt shipping so will see what happens, fingers crossed!

  • +1

    already have a 10K I never use…dont need a 20K ill never use.

  • +3

I'll wait for the QC output one.

    • +1

Yeah I rather wait for this too, and the current price is almost double what a local pays

  • I am not going to buy yet another bloody Xiaomi power bank, the old ones are still working fine.

Mainly up-voting because I like the answers from this rep.

However this is a silly comment:

new body that is made of lightweight ABS instead of aluminum to prevent scratching

The ABS will scratch much more easily than aluminium / aluminium.

All my Xiaomi's have silicone sleeves… are they available for this model yet?

    • +1

It's got a lot of tiny little bumps all over which eliminates the need for a silicone sleeve.

    • The scratching refers to the Xiaomi scratching other objects

  • @Clear (rep):

I have just bought this and made the payment via PayPal. However it is appearing as Unpaid in my account.

The Order Number is #3605836. PayPal Transaction ID: 5F587922CM729070K.

    Please advise.

    • Top right of the website is a live chat link. Click on that and get them to check.

      • +1

Now the status changed to "Payment Confirmed (Processing)". So I'll leave it at that. Thanks for the reply.

$30.99 US @ Geekbuying with free shipping ;)

    • 34.39 USD @ Aliexpress, free shipping

And what is the point of that post?

      • My bad … :(

  • +1

I bought a 16000mAh back in a Novemeber deal last year. After a few weeks it wont even charge properly and always stays on the first led charging light. I reckon I received a faulty one :(

Guess I'll have to dig into this one then.

    • +1

Give it to me, and I will try to fix it :-)

  • Hey op.. how long will it take to deliver to Australia, sydney? I need this within 21 days, you reckon it'll deliver before then?

    • You'd be pushing it at 21 days, so probably not.

      • Is that with the free shipping? Cause i paid the $3 for TNT shipping which says is a lot faster

        • +1

Yes. You might get an email saying TNT is unavailable as they wouldn't ship them last time.

        • @Clear:Then why the hell do they have them as an option for shipping? And with no warning. They better not just send it as the free shipping :(
I'm guessing TNT are a bit iffy because of the batteries?

        • +1

@Spectator: I said they might. TNT have been iffy in the past about batteries. Sometimes they will and sometimes they won't.

  • What extra things would I need to purchase to go with this in order to charge a Macbook Pro Retina? I am presuming a Type C adapter, a quick charger adapter and an Australian adapter to charge the power bank? Do you have any deals on buying the supporting accessories?

    • If your Macbook has a USB Type-C port then all you need is a USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable.

The power bank itself includes a USB to MicroUSB cable that can be plugged into a USB wall adapter to charge it.
