  • these really Genuine? also are these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/252180374462?_trksid=p2060353.m27… fake or really made by samsung? if its fake can I get a refund from your store without having to open paypal claim?

    • Hi mate,
our items are all sourced locally from distributors & wholesalers; wont shy away from the fact that we did have a logistical complication a while back with the charging pads ONLY - all our other items can be verified by Samsung.

I am just the web store maintenance team; if you have any questions relating to current orders please email: [email protected] & someone will be with you - we are here for another hour or so.

      Thanks

      • so their all meant to be genuine now with no problems?

        • Yes - we have had no complaints or any issues since speaking / changing supplier.

        • @etronicsworld: which distributor are you using

        • @furythree:

          which distributor are you using

which ever cheap asian seller is the cheapest this week for the usual stuff and the local genuine mobile store (where he buys for more than he sell for) for the very few times he gets caught out and is forced to supply a genuine item…….

      • +1

It cant ONLY be the charging pads because we found a whole lot of fake chargers too in this thread:
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/225278
They had ridiculously badly faked markings like "50V" instead of "5.0v". Weight was wrong. They were just fake.
You apologised and replaced them but they still were being sold in your eBay store.
        So not just charging pads.

        • +1

          You apologised and replaced them.

with the 99% of fakes rep sells versus the 1% of times he gets busted then has to fork out for the original, im sure he is making a killing in profits to cover the very few fakes that get spotted. in the other thread i saw your reply to one person who believed they had a genuine product until you proved it was fake so must give you an idea of how many $2 items rep can flog off at full price compared to the few he gets caught out for.

edit: and you can bet the only ones he replaces with genuine are the people who contact him about it, the rest who rep knows were also fake you can guarantee never got to find out…

          @nosdan:
Makes perfect sense. I think that may well be exactly how they operate.
Note the protective move of putting the Samsung wireless chargers out of stock moments after being contacted re their authenticity by an Ozbargain member. Guess they are a bit dearer to replace with genuine.
This cheap cable post does two things: confirms they were reading Ozbargain as per the above point and smacks of clumsy appeasement with a supposed "sweet" damage-control deal.

        • @King Tightarse:

smacks of clumsy appeasement with a supposed "sweet" damage-control deal.

you sir i think hit the nail on the head perfectly :)

I'd take the risk anyway if you need one. EBay/PayPal both state that you keep the item AND get a refund when you make a claim on a fake counterfeit. Worst case it's a free Chinese knock off.

    I just bought this.
It is in a good wrapping. Fast delivery. It is 100% genuine product I believe.
    Very satisfy with the product.

    • thank you - glad you're happy.
      cheers

Given all the past posts and problems with you selling fakes, fake chargers, fake cables, fake everything, you can have a neg.

    • +1

logistical issues do occur & this has been rectified - we source local & put trust in suppliers.
sh* happens sometimes , but that has been fixed.
      thanks for posting

      • what you mean to say is that you can usually get away with selling fakes but sometimes you get called out and have to supply a small percentage of genuines to "seem" like your a legit seller… extremely dodgy sales practice and may the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits…

  • Hopefully I can put my trust into this seller, ill like to buy from you a lot if your not lying , thanks ill let you know if my item is fake or not

    • +1

Hopefully I can put my trust into this seller

after the deal you originally posted https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/236423 , you still believe the seller can be trusted? your insane mate.

      • stop overreacting over $7. thats hardly a risk worth calling "insane"

        • The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results

i stand by my claim… to see time and time again this rep peddling dodgy, counterfeit shit and suddenly expecting it to somehow be different this time is insane……

edit: also along with the fact that op claims of dodgy ebay sellers

I dont think the seller would lie

i think paints a pretty clear picture….. for me at least…

Months ago this company boasted in being a supplier to companies like Vodafone.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/219163

I confirmed with my apple contacts this was not the case.

Rep - if i order one of these cables and take it to my samsung rep in the sydney head office location, what will you say if these are also verified as non genuine?

    • Apple owns Vodafone?

    • whats your relationship to apple and samsung? your dad is their store security guard or something?

      • I have worked in the industry for years and kept in contact with all my old reps.

Always pays to keep in touch with Vendors.

        • doing what?

          sales
          marketing
          accounts
          executive roles
          retail
          wholesale
          supply chain
          delivery driver
          apple store toilet cleaner?

          what does that even mean?

          @furythree:

I never knew i was applying for a job to list my full history.

Keep on topic and leave questions like this for PM.

This section is to talk about the product and the seller. It has already been proven multiple times this seller has been selling non genuine products. Your comments should be based on that and any personal questions about other users should be asked in PM.

        • @siggy213: im asking because you make yourself sound reputable and almost sounds like bragging

Just cause you say you have contacts doesnt make any of what you say on an unverified public forum more correct or invalidate the dodgy OP's content

        • @furythree: Again, this section is to talk about the product. All i have to say is ive worked in the industry and have contacts whom i can talk to directly.

You seem to want to focus on me more then the OP. I am very sure there are many other people on here like myself who have past and current relationships with Vendors. How these were formed is irrelevant to this topic. What is relevant is this OP has been caught selling non genuine products multiple times and we are here to make other users in the community aware.

Now follow the rules of this site and stick to the topic. Leave questions like this for PM.

        • @siggy213: im questioning your validity to justify "your contacts" as a reputable source to be used as any talking point against this vendor RELATED TO THIS POST

        • @furythree: So maybe you should investigate every user in this forum.

Again if you wish to know things like this about other users, PM them.

Stick to topic otherwise. All other reponses will be ignored.

Neg due to "problems with the retailer" - They were caught selling the same brands of fake products before.
Buy with caution. I wouldn't buy from these guys at all.

    • I agree.

I want to attempt to give them a chance but due to past posts, its extremely hard to trust them.

  • is there any way that ozB moderators can flag sellers of fake stuff? so people not in the know will know before unwittingly buying stuff from them before the ozB community gets a chance to rat them out!

  • +1

Seems kinda not "Genuine" and there are cheaper fakes out there

  • I'm surprised no one has mentioned that there is no such thing as an adaptive fast charge cable. Fast charging works with any cable that works with normal-speed 5V 2A charging. :)
