    Looks like their normal price…

    • +18

Limited stock mate, once these sell out the only other place to get them is bigw tomorrow morning before they sell out. Just helping people get them now before they cant

        • +5

technically it is if you look at the ebay listings and the listings of the RRP of $179.99 so yea

        • +13

          @Gehirn:

If it honestly bothers you that much take it down but im helping people who have been wanting one and theres no better way to help them get it cheaper than EBs price of $179.99

        • +10

@Gehirn: i couldnt care about credit, i posted this when i did because finding michael would have required people to search i just made it easier. If you look we were all talking on that page but this post has helped people who hadnt seen that one. So report it all you want i dont mind if its taken down but im trying to help the people who want this and this makes it easier as evident by the people who said thanks

        • +16

@JezzaC96: Just ignore these people with nothing better to do. Thank you for posting it. It is helping many and is hurting nobody

        • +7

          @Dany34:
Thanks for the support mate happy that i can help the pokemon lovers

        • -8

@JezzaC96: Giving credit would have been the courteous thing to do given you found out from their comment.
Announcing all the times stores have stock of a limited edition that other retailers have for the same price would flood the deal section.

        • +3

@JezzaC96: You probably should give credit to people who helped with your deal though, a very helpful person provided the direct links on the other thread.

        • +2

@Gehirn: i quickly posted this as you can see with minimal effort to help people get it first i have also messaged michael explaining i posted it and he was okay with it

        • +1

          @JezzaC96:
So are these going to be available in store? At target and big w?

        • +1

@Ronnie23: only instore at bigw and as one of the users on the other page for bigw pointed out that his local store only has one of each model

Alzo i accidentally hit the associated button on my phone anyone know how to remove that as im not associated with target

        • +1

          @JezzaC96:
Cheers man will take the risk and be at my local big w before they open

        • @JezzaC96:

Alzo i accidentally hit the associated button on my phone anyone know how to remove that as im not associated with target

Fixed for you. In future, just hit the report button.

        • @durd0008: heh I thank you for those links sir.

      • +2

I asked a store how many they were getting in, she said 2 of each…. pretty stupid

    • -3

I agree, cant see how this is a bargain.

  • +2

Thanks. Finished off my collection with the red and yellow version. Saves me from struggling to get one tomorrow.

    • +4

      Happy it helped

    • Correct me if I'm wrong but the Blue and Red 2DS consoles you can buy standalone right? The exact same handhelds in this bundle. And the game is a virtual download anyway. Collecting aspect aside. If you want to play and own you could by the Red or Blue coloured 2DS and then virtual download the game?

      • These are opaque aren't they? Not sure you can buy them outside these bundles. I could be wrong, but I thought that was the point of difference.

        • I thought so too but it seems they already have opaque red and blue versions. Crystal Red & Crystal Blue.

        • +1

@Quotationz: The red came with Pokemon Omega ruby and the blue came with alpha sapphire, we didn't get it standalone. Target had them for $99 each, however, I don't think target has anymore..

        • +1

          @Quotationz:

Aah, the difference is the buttons - they're multi coloured on the special editions, which looks great. The standard opaque ones just have grey buttons.

    Gotta catch 'em all!

  • I just ordered a Yellow one, thanks! Hope they won't suddenly cancel it because of no stock.

  • If the allocation of 2000 units for all of Australia is true, then these should last a few minutes?

  • thank you!, i was going to rock up the shops early to try grab one

  • Pre-ordered all 3 colours. Thanks

    • +7

Big W lol bro this is target ;)

  • Ah I knew checking ozbargain at this time would pay off! Now I can drink to my hearts content without worrying about waking up early tomorrow, thanks!

  • +3

20th anniversary.. Well now I just feel old.

    • -2

      Calm down

  • +6

Does anyone remember the Yellow Pokemon Edition Gameboy Colour? Good times.

    • For a second then I thought you meant Gameboy colour version of Pokemon yellow. Was about to get so pumped to track a copy down.

  • -7

    Isn't this normal price?

  • My banner has an offer of 20% off when you spend over $100 but doesn't seem to apply to this for some reason? Code is ONLINE20.

    • +1

only applies to clothing and a few other categories. Electronics i believe are excluded!

    • +7

clothing. Sadly you can not wear this :(

  • yellow is gone!

    • It was in my cart ready to go as well. :(

  • Well they were up for about 1 hour until this spread. Longer than I thought it would last.

  • Omg yellow was in my cart and now it's gone!!!!!

  • +4

Wouldn't it have been more appropriate to perhaps release the Green version console, since the game version never launched outside of JAP, and since the Pikachu edition game itself is not yet 20 years old?

Don't care if I get neg'd for this. Haters gonna hate :p

    • I do not think they would go through the effort and waste time and money to localise the green version. This are straight ports. Plus yellow is the best version :)

      • What I meant was to release the Venusaur themed console, not the game, in exchange for lack-of English port.
It's perhaps a little obscure reference for the millennials who are yet to study up on the franchise's history…

        • In that case yep would have been cool since it was the original

      • +1

Blue was our version of green, Japan never had blue. I believe there may have been some slight differences in which Pokemon were caught in each over there (compared to our blue/red).

Also leaf green and fire red are just better versions of these games.

  • +4

    Poor bulbasaur. Where's green!

    • +2

      In Japan :)

    • Yeah I would have loved a Bulbasaur themed one also :/

  • Anyone think it's worth rocking up in store to try get a yellow one?? Missed online… 😞

    • +4

Only Big W instore, Target was online only.

    • +2

Target is only online for these. Youll have to get to bigw.

      • Heard bigws will only receive 1-2 of each coulor…

        • [DELETE]

  • Is yellow the only one of signifigance to grab online? Others easy to buy?

  • Did EB up their price?

    • Don't think so? Didn't they sell out?

I saw a few smaller sites selling for $179 and $169 even though it was local stock though :/ RRP is $149

      • They must have upped the price. I had a pre-order for $149.

    • Good to know, didn't want EB to charge more

      • Ahh you have a deposit? Yeah I think you will be safe man, they can't legally change it like that on you.

  • What's better blue or red ?

    • down to personal preference, they are the same game, only one different was yellow

  • Will red and blue be hard to get tomorrow with this kit or pretty standard?

    • 1-2 per store it seems like.

  • +11

Just going to put it out there that Amazon UK is doing it for ~79 pound delivered to Australia which at XE rates is ~$154. I CBF waking up and fighting everyone if there is only one or two at each Big W with at least 2 ozbargainers and 5 scalpers elbow to elbow.

Already placed my order, happy to see this go out.

    • -4

But 2DS has region locking right?

  • Can you get this at JB hifi still?

  • +4

Got lucky seeing this… Thank the Legendary Pokemon I woke up in time to place an order!
I am not looking forward to seeing the Limited Pokemon versions up for re-sale. I hate that some people miss out on this and then people who are out for a quick buck just buy and re-sell with no interest in the games!

  • cant order yellow online anymore =(

  • I still have my original Pokemon blue game.

  • Isn't waiting for the 3DS version of 20th anniv bundles better?

    • You can just buy the games on your 3ds console on the estore.
The 3DS 20th anniversary bundle includes both blue and red and has different case plates for both for the outside of the 3ds.

  • +1

More future over priced "retro collectibles"…..

  • No love for Venusaur.

    • +1

They never released green in English. They have a green one in Japan.

  • +8

Should I even bother? My current self is so proud of my past self right now that my past self had the foresight to put these away.

    http://i.imgur.com/dXAp6iM.jpg

    • Is the battery still good for your game saves?

Replacing batteries in GB cartridges are a pain. IIRC batteries are soldered on. :(

  • Any chance of still picking up a PIKACHU anywhere in Melbourne?

    • Big W if you can get there at opening. Otherwise sadly Ebay may be your only option.

  • +1

Now searchable on the Target Website. Either they were always planning to put them live early or they have realised their mistake.

  • I still have my original GB Pocket and Pokemon Red & Yellow, ah those were the days.

Is anyone planning on actually using these? If you miss out on Yellow you can always download the Virtual Version from the Nintendo eStore.

  • When do they go on sale in big w?

    • +1

      When stores open, generally 8am

      • +1

        Thanks mate.

  • Yellow version sold out from big w Macquarie. They had 1 of each.

  • Yellow sold out at Liverpool and Bankstown also

  • Dam looks like a classic past 8 now however online order should be ok.
