Aegis Wing - Free Game - Now Xbox One Compatible

60

This one is an oldie, but a goodie.
Aegis Wing is a free arcade game that has recently been made compatible with xbox one.
You will need to use the US site (possibly even a dummy US account), as it is not available on the Australian marketplace.

  • Such a fun little game!
I played it heaps when it came out on the 360 years ago, it has 2-4 player coop, get on it guys!

  • I've never managed to get this to work on an AU account how do you get it?

    • Make a US account and download it from there. It won't work on a AU account.

      • Do you guys mean that it won't work on an AU account? Because while you do need a US account to get it it will work on an AU account (at least it did with mine).

  • Thanks OP, like apoptygma, i couldn't get this to work either. Tried switching stores to US on my console and chrome on my pc. Then tried Hola in chrome but it kept giving me the message, "Sorry, this offer is not available in your region" How did you get it to work?

Switch your Microsoft account but please read and understand the disclaimers first. It may be better to open a new account instead.

    • Stupid network lag led to double post. Sorry.

      1. create a dummy account on the xbox.com website using a different email address and when creating it put your region as USA.
      2. grab the game off the link provided which is the US website.
      3. change your region on your xbox to USA under settings. this can be changed back straight after and does not affect your accounts at all.
      4. sign into this dummy account on your xbox.
      5. grab the game from your my games and apps games to install section.
      6. change console region back (if you want, not required).
      7. sign into your real account, keeping the other signed in.

sound convoluted, but it only take a min or two.

Thanks alvian, matt1234. For anyone in the same boat, I created an account from scratch using a US add and AU phone number, then "buy" the game with AU cred card details.
