    I don't see bargains, all I see is advertising…

    • I'd say discounts like $4000 off a Can-Am is a bargain. But maybe that's just me.

Put your offer(s) in the title or directly link them in the body of the post, OzBargain is not an advertising mechanism by which you steer traffic to your website under the promise of "bargains". If this is not clear read the Deal Posting Guidelines.

        • Not sure what you mean Sir Casm. This post is for Road Boots from $99 (which is a bargain) and well within the guidelines. The deal is not even connected to our website - it is Ozbargains who have put an old image of our website there!

Sorry if I confused you with the mention that there are other bargains to be had at the sale too (eg. $4000 off a Can-Am - which you can see in the image. It was in response to your comment that you couldn't see any bargains.

When I went in to post the specials individually it has restricted my posts due this one having a low voting score. So my hands are tied on posting more sale bargains until more people vote positively. Happy to list the sale items individually when that happens :-)

        • @TheKatGirl:

Can I suggest a title such as the following:

20% off all Accessories (Boots from $99) @ Savage Motorcycles [instore Midland WA only]

Then in the body of the ad list various examples of bargains:

          Shoei helmets from $500
          50% off MX helmets
          etc
          etc

          PLUS, free sausage sizzle!

There's a bit of an issue with just promising "big discounts" (in this case for various bikes - and I know it's not feasible to include all of them), but like I pointed out earlier, OzBargain is not a tool to drive site traffic because it's not an advertising platform…post specific examples of actual deals you are offering - "50% off MX helmets" - not only does this qualify your posting according to the guidelines, but it's more effective in communicating your offer and grabbing the attention of users (top deals are auto-posted to Facebook, which furthers your reach!). Check out the forums & wiki for more info and to ask questions.

        • @Sir Casm: Thanks Sir Casm. I did try a title something like that and then agreed to the automatic changes that the site offered me.

I now understand what you mean about being vague about the "massive discounts". Thanks for explaining - I will get rid of that :-)
