  • How much did they used to go for?

    • Website shows $29…SCA has one for $20.

      • Hey, what's it called on SCA? I can't find it.

Edit: Never mind, I found it. http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/Ridge…

It's $5 for the beach tent if you pickup from brookvale store? hardly any other stores in stock. Could add $9.95 for delivery, thus about $15 altogether for a delivered beach tent…

        • @kati: it was $20 when I bought it in store on the weekend, but then I saw it for $5 yesterday so I picked up another one.

good for lawn, but not beach as has no sand pockets to hold it down.

    • +1

The corners look to have a loop in them, so a stake into the sand will do the trick!

My bro in law's that I used last week has a very similar design as this one, and his came with plastic stakes provided. Hopefully this one does too…

      Thanks OP, grabbed one =)

the packaging says on the front: "sand pockets & pegs for stability"

Just bought 2, thanks OP. And thanks also to manic for no sand pockets comment. Wouldnt have considered that bit if you hadnt mentioned, but for $10 I'll make do. The amount of crap I normally have to cart to the beach anyway should hold things down.

  • Any idea how long it takes to process the order? I'd like to pick up tomorrow.

A great outdoor sun shade for the Kids this summer. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it Autumn now in Oz!

      Not in Queensland. Lol🌞

Still very much summer in Perth too. Forecast 36deg. next week.

Autumn starts on the 21st of March.

      • The equinox? Not by Australian convention. Maybe you've been absorbing too much American culture?

        • Not American, but European …

        • @grips:
Ah, did not know that. Seems odd they considers Summer only starts on the longest day of the year.

is it just me or is this and last weekends sale the start of the end of masters ?

    • Yep.. I was thinking the same.

  • it cant really weigh 9kg surely

I wish Masters wouldn't shut down - so much more convenient than Bunnings

  • can anyone tell me why I can't seem to be able to buy one of these? tried in 3 browsers and can't seem to click and collect even though it's my local store?

      • maybe it's because I'm looking at Chullora and it's sold out, I can't actually see a way to add it to the cart?

edit: no changed to northmead and still can't see a friggin button!

        • Have you tried a different web browser?.

        • @hollykryten: friggin tried chrome on phone, IE touch, IE desktop, it turns out the add to cart button doesn't show on any of them. Can't be the browser must have sold out. If someone can actually see the add to cart button let me know

        • @Jackson: have you set your store location? You need to select your store before you can add items to cart

        • @Jackson: I have the same friggin problem with you. Actually drove to Chullora to find a sun shelter and they have NONE. Probably closing down very soon.

        • @samehada:done that, can buy everything else just not that and a few other things

        • @Azn310: thanks for letting me know

    Thanks Op

    8-10 units left in Northmead

  • Just watched out for the loops that holds the sticks. It's easily thorn . I returned mine last month .

Bought one, think only one more was left at Williams landing this morning 10am..

Picked up today and just set it up for a test. They come with pegs and two pockets at the rear for sand bagging. Bit difficult to set it up with one person though.

Not sure if it's just mine but the model I was given is slightly different to the one pictured. The name is the same though (Life Island Sunshelter). The sides of the tent has a half moon hole cut out at the lower section (allows wind andbreeze to pass though).

    $10 can't complain… Good buy!

Ready to hit the beach tomorrow =D
