Kingsley's chicken is a funtime feast. Unbelievable chicken, awesome chips.
Is Kingsleys dying or what. The last time I went back, the Woden store disappeared, before that Civic disappeared. Now have to go down to Tuggers to find one close to the interchanges.
The Woden one moved up the top near where Coles and Woolies are. It always seems to be open, trading late most nights. In Civic there's probably too much competition from Chicken Gourmet, which is near where the drunks congregate and is open very late every night, and everyone knows where it is.
They're still at Belconnen, Kippax and Weston. if you're after one that's close to a bus interchange, Kippax is probably your best bet as its right next to a blue rapid stop.
Not sure if there's still one down at Conder?
They are doing a lot of bus shelter advertising at the moment.

Woden store moved up to where the supermarkets are.
The Civic site closed years ago due to Canberra Centre rent increases and a lease dispute.
I miss Kingsley's. Lived in Canberra for a year and it was one of the few things that felt uniquely Canberra. Also loved that it was Australia's answer to McDowell's from Coming to America

I had this last night for dinner. The southern fry pieces were nice and juicy compared to KFC chicken, which last visit was dry and dry through. The chips were okay but not to die for.
See for me the chips are the big selling point.
Different tastes and all that.

In the past they have been pretty generous with giving out more thigh pieces if you ask. Not sure what they will do with the 9 piece deal though.
I just got some today. 8 thighs and 1 breast at the Tuggeranong shop. I asked for lots of thighs.
Always get the kingsleys burger with coleslaw when visiting canberra. 10/10 would eat again.
Well, had my 9 pieces tonight with the Family and they were delicious
Don't forget to count the pieces before leaving the shop. Last time I purchased the same deal but got only 5 :-(
