  • Can anyone recommend a 65inch tv for a theatre room (for playing games and watching movies) and another 60-65inch for the living/kitchen area? :)

    • Rtings.com

Some model numbers are also ghtly different due to being US centric but it's there same TV we get here.

Samsung generally make the best TVs these days…but not every size and model is best in class.

    • Samsung UN65JS9000 seems to be a good one for Movies & Games going by reviews… I am deciding between Sony X930C and Samsung JS9000… My usage will be movies, so mostly would go for Sony!

  • The galaxy s7 is $1,171.99 at Kogan ebay right now, so 938 after the discount. $16 cashback from cashrewards too. Good deal or not? Not sure about the shipping though..

    • I'm not sure on market price of s7, but the Ipad prices are greatly more at Kogan.

    • yeah i saw that too, great price if it works….does CTECH work?

only thing is kogan isn't as good as local warranty from say mobileciti

  • worked out well, got a new power supply I badly needed as mine sounds like a jet even after pulling it all apart and spraying it down and oiling the bearings

    saved 50 bucks, thanks ebay!

still dont like the fact as soon as the sale launched every damn store took all their items offline and re uploaded most with much higher pricing

    • could you link me? thanks

  • Bought the Sony KD75X8500C from TGG for $3630 delivered, discount of $897. Very happy, thank you.

  • CTECH worked fine for both ebay and paypal, Thanks :)

    • What did you buyt?

      • Optus, galaxy s6 edge 32g, $639.20 after discount

  • Worked fine for me to buy the refrigerator from Good Guys!

  • Is this a good price for the XPS 15 (with 20% off): http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-XPS-15-6th-Gen-i7-6700HQ-Qua…

I'm concerned about the UHD and the touch screen with regards to functionality/ battery life. Anyone advise against getting this or does the price justify?

  • Just ordered an item from Kogan, C20TECH applied successfully at both PayPal and eBay. Completed PayPal transaction with discount applied. Order marked as being successful. Check eBay account, no discount applied, checked PayPal, no discount applied - they've billed me as if there were no discount :(

      Use CTECH

  • Got the George Foreman rice cooker for $23.96 from The Good Guys using CTECH.

  • +3

A well timed voucher from eBay as I'm moving out in a few weeks. I purchased the following from TGG:
    - Sony 55" Android TV, $1095
    - Panasonic 5 cup rice cooker, $89
    - Russell Hobbs Dome Kettle, $40
    - Samsung 6.5kg Top Load Washing Machine, $529
    - Dyson V6 Handstick $445.

Applied the code CTECH at eBay checkout. The total price went from $2198 to $1776, a saving of $421!!! There's still a few more items to purchase too so the savings don't end there!

Please continue to share and link your bargains as many of us do go through and read every single comment… Cheers once again OzBargain and its community.

    • +2

At least when you move out you can watch tv, eat rice, make a cuppa, wash your clothes and clean the floor.

      • +2

Well said mate, only the essentials ;)

        • You don't need a fridge?

  • Anyone know how delivery works for TGG on ebay? I want to order a fridge (and potentially save hundreds) but really don't want to pickup such a large item myself. Would be great if TGG can deliver and install?

    • Personally, I'd use C&C, then when they call to say it is ready… pop in store and pay their $50 delivery in store for delivery and installation (and I believe they will take your old fridge away if required).

  • +1

I can also confirm that the code CTECH works fine.

Dyson DC54 Barrel Vacuum $547 from The Good Guys - $437.60 after discount and $437.60 was charged via PayPal to my C.C

  • +1

I was able to get my order through with the voucher by creating a new PayPal account (have to use a card that hasn't been used with another account):

Samsung LU28E590DS/XY 28" UHD 3840x2160 from Kogan: $467.20 (cheaper than anything on shopbot and staticice!)
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-LU28E590DS-XY-28-UHD-3840…?

  • so when do you apply the code? do you have to purchase the item first and then apply at checkout? im worried that i click buy and then it doesnt work and i have to end up paying the full amount

    • The coupon can be entered at the checkout (before payment).
Make sure the discount is still applied after you login to PayPal because mine disappeared with my normal PayPal account (had to create a new one).

  • 8tb Seagate Archive HDD via Futuonline $295 with CTECH code.

  • I have bought "Sony KDL60W600B 60" for $1151 yesterday from TGG using CTECH. Thanks for the post.

    • Hey, have you received yours yet? I have my eye on this one, I'd like to know if you think it's worth it.

  • After trying all day even with a new Paypal account last night bought the QNAP TS-453 Pro and Kingston 16GB DDR3L SODIMMs for the NAS $651.92(free shipping) after discount from Futu - CTECH worked, Yay!!!!
According to Staticice the cheapest I will get the NAS is for $648.99+shipping so I pretty much got the 16GB RAM for free thanks to the 20% and I'm very happy!!!
Surprise, surprise this morning the NAS is missing in Futu's store.

Just tried to get chromecast 2 at tgg: There is no balance left on this redemption code: I tried both CTECH and CTECH20

    • bought a chormecast 2 last night. i just received a sms saying that it is ready for pickup.

    • Try C20TECH

      • Typo. I meant C20TECH. I'm trying again now that the problem may have been sorted.

  • Bought a Moto G(3rd Gen) for $209 from Kogan successfully.

    • Be careful that it's not the same as the Australian stock one. I think some of the Telstra 4G bands are missing.

    • The one sold by Kogan only has 8G (XT1540). If you update the phone to Marshmallow, the OS will consume around 5G which left you only around 3G left for apps and data. Better to get local stock one from Good Guys which has 16G (XT1550) and only around $70 difference in price.

      • totally regret getting this from Kogan. Weird packaging, non Motorola charger. you were right 8Gb wasnt enough ,lesson learnt!!.

  • +1

There is no balance left on this redemption code.

  • i bought nexus 6p 32gb from kogan 7/3/2016 11pm with CTECH code successfully.

Dyson V6 Absolute at Good Guys: was $698 yesterday, now listed for $899. V6 Animal also from $547 to $699. so dodgy!!!

so glad i got in yesterday, and didn't wait for the code to be sorted out!

i hope everyone who wanted one got in with CTECH, or C20TECH and new paypal account!

Fluffy (for hard floors) and Motorhead (for carpet) still available for $578 apiece (less than the V6 animal!), so if you're after one of those, get in while you still can! :)

    • +1

omg I know! I just logged in to purchase…..so DEVO!! :(

    • NEW De'Longhi DeLonghi Inissia Capsule Coffee Machine Black EN80BAE $219 Today, $199 Yesterday

EDIT: To be fair, I think a bunch of appliances were on sale that finished yesterday. Coffee Machine on TGG's site

    • +1

Isnt this exactly the behaviour kogan got fined for?

      Mate, complain!

News.com.au: the consumer watchdog said it had “reasonable grounds to believe” Kogan first raised the prices of three computer monitors, then advertised a 20 per cent discount during its Fathers’ Day promotion.

Consumers actually only received a nine per cent discount from the original price, the ACCC said.

      • +4

Someone must be reading our forums and getting scared as the price is now back down to $698! So for anyone interested, I would grab it quick!! :)

C20TECH worked fine straight through to Paypal as well :)

        • nice one! :)

strangely, the V6 Animal is still $699, a dollar more than the V6 Absolute!

    • Absolute seems worth it for the price. Cheapest it and the fluffy have ever been. We have hardwood floors so the fluffy makes sense, but since you can't buy the motorised head seperately might as well get it now if we move to a place with carpet?

      • +1

yep, if you plan on moving to a place with carpets, then the extra motorised head may be worth the extra $100. as you said, the heads are not avaialble separately, so you should get it if you think you'll need it in future.

and just to clarify for anyone seeing my message above, V6 Absolute is now available at $698 again (down to $588.40 click & collect)

        :)

        • +1

$558.40 :) and then cash rewards. As far as my searching goes this has never been cheaper.

        • @kulprit:

yep, don't forget cash rewards! :)

    • removed

  • I still can't decide wether to Kogan or not for the Galaxy S6…if the discount code revives itself the phone will be <$550.

  • C20TECH worked fine at good guys, think this deal should be unexpired with a message code may or may not work due to error..

  • +3

Picked up the Dyson V6 for $356 at TGG, working on my end.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Dyson-209468-01-V6-Handstick-…

  • bought a sony bluray player from sony store just now, worked fine.
but yesterday I couldn't get it to work once it got to the Paypal checkout.

  • +1

Was trying C20TECH all day yesterday with no luck for any seller

Used CTECH last night for an order from FUTU, it was successful. Tried it again to day for a split order from Kogan/Sony - said something like "there is no balance left on this code"

Tried C20TECH for the split Kogan/Sony order today - worked just fine. Happy to report that it finally worked without issue - receipts from paypal are in order

    Looks like it's finally sorted

    • Is there a way of not comitting to buy in case the code doesn't work?

      • +2

At the final Confirm and Pay screen in Paypal, it'll show you exactly how much you'll be charged, from which account. You can cancel at that step.

      • +3

        add to cart
        go to checkout
        enter code
        go to paypal
        log in
        verify code applied
        cancel and return to ebay
        remove items from cart
        repeat ad nauseum

        • Thanks to both of you

  • I did CTECH with FUTU this morning around 8am and it worked

  • code just worked for me…hmmm nice…

  • Tried CTECH today and it said: there is no balance left on this code. Tried with C20TECH (it was not working for me yesterday) and surprisingly, it is working with Futu online store. Changed payment method in PayPal and it is still working fine.

  • Looking for a 55" Sony from TGG around the $1k mark, but no luck :(
    edit:
could not find it on TGG ebay store, but found this link on one of the previous pages of this deal so bought through that.
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/141724825718

  • I just tried CTECH20 and got the discount through Paypal… THANKS!

  • I used C20TECH and it worked

    • +1

      i used C20ARSE and it worked !!

      • Could be TA working in the background!?

        • +1

does it matter. you will still be getting a discount ?

        • +6

          working from the back?!?!??!?!?!

        • +1

@eisniwre: gotta love a deal that comes from behind

  • Anyone have any recommendations of a soundbar of some sort?

    • I ordered one of the Yamaha YSP 2500's from The Good Guys. It seemed to have some really good reviews on it.

Just waiting on the message to say I can go and pick it up

      • That does look good. My budget is <$400 though (I recently got the Sony XT3 for ~$400 and I'm very happy with it - so don't want to spend more than that for the other TV). I don't think I'm likely to find anything close to the XT3 for that price though.

    • Yes, buy a proper sound system with discrete speakers instead.

  • Has anyone posted a link that lets you search all of the participating retailers? I don't know how to do it but it's very handy!

    • +1

this comment did - pretty handy, though I think it didn't include the sony store items

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/3517990/redir

      • Thanks so many comments, so hard to find some times.

        • +1

OzBargain recently added a comment mode that lets you view all comments on one page. I think it's at the top of the page (the "comments" link above the OP, not at the top of the comments).

Makes it a heck of a lot easier to search for comments.

        • +1

          @zzyss:
That's pretty handy. Sort of like whirlpools archive view.

Wish you could still reply though.

        • @zzyss: Oh that's awesome! Been waiting so long for this!

  • Can anyone suggest a quiet gaming graphics card? I currently have an AMD R9 290. Bonus games would be nice too ;)

      Use headphones

      • +5

Thankyou for a humourous but unhelpful suggestion.

    • +4

    • I would also like to know this with a cheaper option and bonus games?
