I was in Chemist Warehouse yesterday to get some multivitamins, when I noticed that they are selling INC protein bars for $0.99 each. There was some stock left when I left the Mirrabooka store…promise I didn't completely clear out the shelves…:)

INC seems to be 2 types of protein bars - the Shred Max Pro Bar and the Muscle Deluxe Bar. They both have around 20g of protein, but the Shred Max has got only about 7g of carbs, whereas the Muscle Deluxe has got about 12g of carbs. More nutritional info can be found here, you'll need to scroll down towards the bottom to get to the protein bar bit.

The Shred Max Pro comes in chocolate and cookies and cream flavors, whereas the Muscle Deluxe comes in chocolate and toffee flavors. Personally, it's a bit too sticky for my liking, but given the price, happy to put up with it…:)

    Added sugar? How much?

    Fat content? Saturated, trans, mono, poly?

    Would be helpful if we had the full breakdown of nutrition, Chemist Warehouse don't list it for some reason.

        Worth noting: that combination of polydextrose, maltitol and glycerol are probably going to give you violent diarrhea if you eat more than one of these in a short space of time.

        Wow thanks a lot! I think the protein and fibre outweighs the sugar content for me. The energy is what I need at the moment for bulk.

      Ummmm, I'd say that they are not the best tasting bars, but acceptable…too sticky/chewy for my liking…
