  • I'm just looking for something to replace the cheap set that came with my xbox one. These look pretty good, reviews rate them ok. I'm a bit unsure about having to USB from the xbox to where I'm sitting to get the 7.1 (I imagine stereo works if I just plug in the green plug)

Anyone had any experience with these?

    • it comes with USB adapter but you can always use analog

  • Good price and the reviews make this sound like a decent headset… too bad the surround does not work with PS4 =(

    • Really? Damn Ive been looking for 7.1 headsets that are fully functional for my ps4 these looked like a good deal…

      • Provided you can find stock, the PS wireless Stereo headset 2 is going for $69.99 at dicksmith… been looking for stock myself…

        • Sounds like a very elusive deal :( I don't even think the dick Smith near me would have them. City would be best but more than likely out of stock.

  • God damn it I just purchased it @ $72 pick up…

    • +1

Return it! That is $13 difference!!

These suck, when used via the USB card the sound is so low its hard to hear

    • I suggest you double check your sound settings. None of the reviews indicate this problem. In fact, most reviews stated its a worthwhile purchase at sub $100 considering other 7.1 surround-sound devices, such as the Turtle Beach DPX 21 and ASUS Vulcan Pro cost around $149.

go on there forums, heaps of people complaining about the sound issue

    • I had this problem. I uninstalled the drivers for the sound card then re-installed them and after a restart it seems to work better.

      • did not for me, even after a clean install of windows, was even low on PS4

    • No concerns for me on Windows 10 or PS4

  • can officeworks pricematch this? they selling for $119 atm

    • Could give it a try but I don't think shoppingexpress has a physical store which may allow OW to weasel out of the price match.

TBH, just buy from shoppingexpress… it saves you time/fuel driving/walking to your local OW.

      • yeh i know but if i can get it from OW which i live close to then any problems its easier to return lol anyway will give it a shot at pricematch before ordering online

        • Tried price matching at OW with an online store in the past, no luck. They require physical store nearby and in-stock. If its not nearby, they will factor in shipping fee into price matching as well. Hope this helps

        • @ykwon10:
OW price match policy explicitly mentions online stores. You just have to include postage from online stores, have stock in aus and identical warranties (no grey).

        • @Murdrum: I didn't go through their price match policy, just basing on my own experience. Maybe it was just bad luck for me.

  • Got these at Dick Smith when they were $50.00 last year and there is no issue at all with the volume via usb with my set. Really happy with them.

    • Curious to know, although logitech sounds certain it won't work, have you tried it with your console? Think the surroudn sound will work if you plug it into a PS4?

      • +1

Hi mate. My son did try it with his PS4 and it did not work. Sorry, was meant to mention it in my previous reply

With the PC, they have been great.

        • Do you mean the surround sound not working with PS4 or the headset not working with PS4? Surround sound requires Logitech software hence will only work on PC for this feature.

Have a set of these as my gaming / computer headset, for the price would highly recommend them. Cable is quite long and is a soft braided cable so you don't get any issues with cable noise. The ear cups are nice and big so comfortable for extended wearing sessions even with glasses. They also block a bit of the surrounding noises, this may or may not be a benefit to you tho.

  • I have a pair and rate them, but the "50% off" they advertise is a little misleading as they're usually around the $79 at most stores and even here that's the normal price for them. I picked mine up from these guys last year for around $55

  • Are the earcups big? I have large ears and want the earcyps to completely hold my ears in

    • Earcups are big

      • +1

Are they comfortable if you have small ears?

Does the 7.1 surround require software installed, or a mix amp?

Does it have volume controls built in?

What is the noise isolation like on these cans?

        • They are comfortable on my ears although I would consider mine more medium sized, the surround sound does require a software, though you can simply install it from their gaming section, it has built in volume control on the cord and just need to plug it in via the USB adapter for better sound quality and mic quality. Noise isolation aren't bad, at least at the volume i have them on (50%), i can't hear anything outside.

  • If only the cushion was leather.

  • The MSY deal turned out at over $70 after shipping just grabbed these for $59…sweet.

  • I got the red ones a few years back from Umart for $25.. Times have changed !

  • It says its charging delivery $10 total $69 when I log into paypal and pay that way but shows $59 on the site?

Just checked $59 only came out of PayPal, all good..

  • Ok I have seen a questions towards these headphones.
Thought I would jump in since I have these headphones, use them daily for PC, and have an XBOX one and PS4.

These are my 3rd pair of logitech headphones of this kind, well kind of.In about 5 years Ive had 2 pairs of logitech G930's and these are basically carbon copies.

For gaming, the surround sound is great and the reason I have had them so long is because I knew they were good.
Saying that, the arm band is a little flimsy and breaks eventually, even if your not too rough.

For gaming these are great, for Music, They're oK and for $50 you could probably justify it.

They do work with PS4, in a USB port but im pretty sure its only stereo.
I have a feeling they never worked with my XBOX but it wouldnt surprise me if im wrong about this.

Like I said, I use them every day for my PC, but I actually got another Set of headphones with only one Cord for both the Speaker and headphones which I plug into either the PS4, or XBOX controller headset port, which I find much more convenient.

Saying that, the cord is pretty long but you would still have to be within a few metres of the console to use.

    TLDR
    Great Headphones for PC
OK for consoles but wouldnt recommend
    At this price a steal
Break a bit too easily if not careful
