…will also be available from the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show,
    (hence "Show" bag)
16 - 20 March for those who wish to attend.

    • Thanks, I'll update post.

    • Is there any way to get bargain/free tickets for this show?

  • Is it pack of seeds? Any idea how much time it takes to get the actual flowers after you plant the seeds? And do we get flowers all over the year or just in specific season?

They are bulbs (think garlic) in different sizes. You plant them in the ground in autumn and they come up in spring. You can leave them in the ground and they will multiply over the years.

Edit: Or you can plant them in pots.

Edit 2: Here's what they look like

      • Thanks mate. Appreciate details.
so after fall season do we leave them as it is and they will flower again next Autumm/fall? Or after first flowering in fall their life end?

Some bulbs like tulips need to be lifted in warmer climates like Sydney and stored in the fridge before planting, but the varieties included in this offer can be left in the ground. I have most of the above varieties in Sydney and they multiply well - with the exception of the Ranunculi which seem to have disappeared….

They will poke their leaves through the ground in late winter and flower in spring year after year. Some flower early spring, some late spring.

You can pretty much just leave them and forget about them, then start watering when they pop up. After flowering, feed them so that the bulbs get fat and have enough stored energy for the year ahead.

The gardenexpress website actually has growing guides for each of the varieties. For example, dutch iris - click on "Planting and Growing Guide". Tells you when to plant, how deep to plant them.

They will also send you the information with your order.

          Thanks mate!

        • @moocher: In some of the houses I have lived in , Daffodil have been planted in lawn or under the clothes line. They were left in, year apon year, giving a host of yellow daff,,, sorry about the school drill poetry extract. But, it is some joy with bulbs flowering year after year. The daffodils popping up in lawns is always a treat. And I don't have to mow as often.
