  • Pretty sure I saw an internal 4tb HD for $196 less 20% works about to be just over $150 but I assume they sold out.

    • +1

Just keep watching the link. Kogan updates their stock after 1-2 days on Ebay like I've notice on the other parts.

  • The 380 4gb looks like good value because you're paying 380 2gb prices for a 4gb unit.

  • +1

Wanting to upgrade to the 390x but I can't be bothered adding more fans to the case. Perhaps I should wait until NVIDIA's next gen?

    • +1

wait for the next gen, it'll mean a Fury price drop.

      • +1

If they cut it by 50%. I'm sure I can squeeze more juice out of my 270x for time being.

      • They've already cute the price of the Fury Nano once, can't wait to see how cheap that drops

    • Checkout how DX12 gaming performance is going before committing to AMD or NVIDIA it's going to change things significantly and the power balance may shift.

      • I decided on Nvidia for it's HDMI 2.0 & HEVC hardware decoding support and partly to power efficiency.

  • +2

The i5-6400 is also a good price
And combined with the Asrock Z170 Extreme 4 motherboard, you can save $100 on the combo

    • +1

I bought a 6400 the other day from kogan it's been posted already will have it in a few days.

im going to get the ASRock Fatal1ty H170 $159 and 8gb ddr4 $57 ram from MSY

      • I bought a couple of my computer parts from Kogan last year in a similar sale, including a 4590. Saved about 30%. So they do good savings

        • +1

$58 saving on the 6400 from the standard price of $269 is hard to say no to.

Im upgrading from my amd FX 6300.
I wanted a gpu upgrade but don't want to bottleneck so upgrading cpu first.

        • @Axelstrife: It's especially good because sales on CPUs are so rare. I love my i5. Yet to find anything it does that I'm unhappy with tbh

The FX6300 is still a decent low end chip. You could overclock it and disable two cores and get pretty decent performance I'm told. With a good cooler anyway

        • +1

@Rail Rider95:My motherboard isnt very good for overclocking according to everything ive read about it.

This was my first build so didn't know much when i built it.

i could get a FX 8350 cpu only but still be better off to make the switch to the i5 and a bonus DDR4

        • @Axelstrife: So long as you've got a decent cooler, why not try overclocking first? If you're planning to upgrade anyway?
You might even find you get good enough results to not need a cpu upgrade

I'm building a ITX setup with a Silverstone RVZ01 case. No good discount on those ITX boards yet.

    • But I'd say $50 off the ATX Z170 boards is pretty decent

  • +2

The other day I managed to order a
    ASRock H110M-HDS
    EVGA GeForce GTX950 Super OverClock+
    Intel i3 6100

from kogan and 8gb ddr4 ram from futu online for less than $460 total.
Already had PSU, case and SSD so a decent upgrade for very cheap!

  • Sr guys for a silly question. If i bought a EVGA graphic card, would i still claim the warranty with EVGA or i have to contact Kogan ?

    • Evga provides 3yr warranty but not sure about it being from Kogan HK.
      But I found this:
      Evga product warranty Link

    • +1

EVGA has a worldwide warranty for all graphics cards as far as I know, so it would be easiest to deal with them rather than Kogan.

  • I bought the last 960 :-)

I been eyeing the 390x but can't bring myself to spend an extra $250 for a card that will be replaced in a few months by a completely new core and memory system (major changes)

  • As OP says keep checking back on the stock levels the GTX 950s and cheaper 960s that have gone out of stock for now may come back in stock

  • all out of stock except the CPU

    • keep watching the links. They will stock up almost daily. I have been watching them come and go daily.

  • nice.. thanks just got myself a Skylake i3 6100 :)

  • Just got an update on shipping details.
I ordered on 10/3, expected delivery 16/3 by AusPost.
Its already in Sydney according to the tracking.
