Good find, thanks OP. I think I'll jump on this one.

There doesn't seem to be really any speed improvements over the CS1311, but it's MLC instead of TLC, more power efficient and has an extra year of warranty.

  • Just be careful anyone considering this for Windows 10 apparently you might have a few problems.

    • please explain?

      • Check the negative reviews through Amazon according to 1 buyer couldn't install windows 10 on it, checked with Microsoft & was told not compatible.

Im sure that out of the remaining 96 reviews, quite a few would have windows 10 (since this is a new drive) and installed it fine.

        • PNY's extensive testing and rigorous validation process ensures they meet the quality, reliability and durability criteria and the highest compatibility across various platforms and multiple Operating Systems including Windows10.

        • @lyl: would suggest some sort of firmware fix or even one bad hdd just something to be mindful of I guess. I am very tempted I need a SSD for a new PC build

I ordered running windows 7 anyway, reviews + MLC make this a deal. I am only concerned about any warranty issues. Thanks OP!.

  • SSD = 3 years warranty also in there terms >
Before returning it, the purchaser must provide proof of purchase. In the first 12 months from purchase, the Warranty will be serviced by the Distributor.

Good price for a MLC drive, bought one to chuck my games onto :P

4 years warranty on this thing too, 1 more than most mainstream drives and 1 less than the 850 EVO.
