STOCK UPDATE (resolved)

Please accept our sincere apologies for time taken to get exact information regarding these extenuating circumstances. There was conflicting information, although much of the issue (all outside our control) was resolved yesterday. It took this long to iron the information out. This is being written within 15 minutes of final information coming to hand. And as aforementioned, much of the "make-good" resolution has already transpired, in the interest of serving you better.

DETAILS: At a pre-warehouse level there were errors which could not then be resolved by our warehouse, despite strenuous and sustained efforts on their behalf. We have now resolved all issues, to a better standard than agreed (see Availability for what was agreed in terms of dispatch — applies to all purchasable SKUs at time of offer — and shipping), and Selling Out Soon has even made good on the SAME DAY DISPATCH outcomes in terms of the time it would have taken for the advertised delivery services. Details below.

SPECIAL DELIVERY (EXPRESS POST) AT NO CHARGE for orders received first day before listed deadline. These items were initially due to ship same day by the free off-peak shipping, as per details under Availability on the item page on the site. Because this stipulation was not met, due to factors outside our control, for which we apologise, ALL ORDERS received before 4pm AEST (agreed deadline) on the first day have been shipped by Express Post, at our cost. Because standard Availability as per the offered SKUs were: "Free Shipping (dispatches 0-3 business days, sent Off-Peak", even including the SAME DAY expectation, Express Post will still arrive (n most cases much) faster than off-peak sent SAME DAY.

EVERYTHING ELSE IS ON TIME, AS AGREED

  • All other items have been shipped in accordance with the terms agreed on the item page of the item purchased. Your item (see Availability for what was agreed, and shipping for general shipping details) URL is linked in your order, and/or in any transactional emails you have received. If you have not received transactional emails, please check your email setting, and/or add us to your address book in your email client.

STANDARD AVAILABILITY — FREE UPGRADE TO PRIORITY:

  • "Free Shipping (dispatches 0-3 business days, sent Off-Peak" has been upgraded to Priority (as opposed to standard off-peak) at our cost, in ALL deliverable cases in the interest of serving OzBargainers better. Priority, for clarification, in this case will mean the Priority service from Australia Post, as opposed to standard mail, not our paid tracked service. The purpose of Priority is so Australia Post sends it faster.

UPDATES TO YOUR ORDER ON SYSTEM
Please forgive any errors or omissions, we've done our best to resolve everything in the best possible time, and have met all service promises in terms of timing outcomes, subject to the performance of Australia Post. It is expected that the system will show your item has shipped within 24 hours, although it will have shipped earlier, as per the above resolution(s). If you have not received a system email by March 23, 2016 please contact [Customer Service](http://sellingoutsoon.com.au/contact-us/.

At this point in time, if I receive the game sometime this year, I'll be happy.

        • @suicine94:

Don't need express to get tracking.

But you do need to buy a tracked service, See deadline. Again, covered in deal terms at top.

If you read the deal, all the information is there (above)

Hard to do when there is just so much text. We don't need paragraphs on whatever mistakes the warehouse made, and what promises have been made with shipping.

If mistakes have happened. Apologise, write down exactly what is being done to rectify it and leave it there. We don't need to read novels to get tiny bits of information. If you get frustrated with people asking you the same thing several times, this is most probably the reason why.

          @suicine94:

Add a '>' at the start of the quote. Has to be on a new line though I believe. Example here

          .> hello

Remove the full stop and you get

          hello

  • thanks Icecream. I still havnt got an e-mail saying mine is shipped.

    • Everybody has had an email sent to them. If you didn't get it, most likely your mail settings. Add the domain sellingoutsoon.com.au to your address book, as it's probably been sent to a bulk (or worse) folder because of your settings, especially if you use hotmail, who seems a little less advanced (yet more harsh) than other webmail in terms of filtering, in my experience.

  • Everything is on time at Selling Out Soon

    • Free Express has fixed the same day issue for all early orders — before 4pm on first day of deal — (see deal above for full details, order deadline, and check time of your order AEST to see if you qualified).

Thank you fellow OzBargainers, and Happy Easter :)

    • I didn't create an account so I cant view the status of my order. help please.

      • +1

You're probably better off calling up directly at this stage. Rep seems to be on a loop of copy and pasting the same information in all replies whether it is actually relevant or not.

Good luck, hope everything works out in the end.

      • Do you have an email to confirm your order? Ring them up.

      • Been asking you to either contact Customer Service or PM me for days, but you didn't seem to want to. We don't have any outstanding customer issues. What's your order # so I can give it to them?

        • I PMed you 5 minutes after your message, you just didn't reply…. customer service didn't reply either. and I have a customer service staff e-mailing me saying she is hurt from my comments and now she wont answer my questions at all cos she said she took it personally! no ones gona help me cos your whole store is against me now. check your PM!

Also please check up on your customer service staff since I think she could do something stupid, I provided her with the lifeline number but yea look out for her please.

How did your customer service staff trace my account on here to my order? isn't this unethical?

        • @suicine94: Haha…OK..don't know how to take any of that….(1) you've been asking for help for days, but wouldn't tell us who you were. (2) I asked you for you to either contact me, or Customer Service. You didn't do either for days, deciding instead to try to turn previously loyal people against us calling us names and asking the same thing over and over for pages on the weekend when we aren't open. Yes you just responded after OzBargain lifted restriction which allowed me to PM you. And now I can get someone to contact you. It is always better to not get offended, just ask for help, and it will be given. As long as we know the answer. Customer Service knows most of the logistical ones. I know some of the other ones, if they're not too technical.

  • +2

Just wanted to add my 2cents. Bought the original ps4 version on Friday, received an email with an upgrade option (day one edition) and I accepted it on Monday morning.. got an email saying shipped yesterday evening (standard not express) and today the game got delivered to my work. Very happy and no complaints at all! Hope you guys sort out your issues, give them a ring if you've got any concerns, all my communication with them has been nothing but pleasant.

  • OK so I'm getting ignored by customer support and the store rep now.

    • No, they've been in touch. And so have I.

      • ok Store Rep just replied to my PM and now a new customer service just contacted me. thanks store rep.

        • So you've just told me that you didn't know how to PM, I know that can be a little embarrassing, but you could have contacted our Customer Service days ago, or called the 1300 number… It's all there to help you. If you're polite, things stay really simple. Look at everybody else who did get in touch, they're all very positive, because they were polite and a little patient over the weekend. They trusted us to do the right thing. And we did, like we always do. You terrorise the whole community, making me respond like a press release…luckily I like press releases.

        • +1

          @sellingoutsoon:

previous 3 pages that's why. look when I get my game BEFORE good Friday I will unneg ok? that's fair cos I ordered last Thursday.

        • @suicine94: All anybody has to do, is send a simple email to Customer Service, I provided the link many times. Probably 10 times, or more. That is not normal. I'm only mentioning this publicly because you're into that. All you had to do was click the link. It is very easy. Then don't be rude or abrasive, and you're set. Nearly everyone else did that, and got a very positive, timely response within less than 24 hours. Some as little as 7 minutes.

        • @sellingoutsoon:

I did contact customer service, but I got someone who told me she felt hurt from my conversation with you here… therefore she didn't help me cos she needed me to help consult her feelings… like it got to the point where I sent her the lifeline phone number she was messed up. I shouldn't have to play councillor when checking up on my game order.

        • @suicine94: Counselor? Wow, you must have said something pretty bad…I've never even heard of anything like that! I got a message that a supervisor answered your questions immediately. Is that correct?

        • @sellingoutsoon:

If ED is a supervisor then yes that is correct.

        • +1

          @sellingoutsoon:

Customer service is one of those jobs where you can't take anything personally…hopefully suicine94 didn't go too far and that the customer service person can move on from this and just do their job without getting emotions involved. A thick skin is vital in my experience.

        • +1

@IceCreamBandit: I couldn't agree more. So let's just all treat each other kindly and with respect. I usually read agreements carefully when I buy something, to make sure that I'm respecting both sides of the equation. Because both sides have real people on it.

  • How are these being packed? Are they being posted in an ordinary envelope with no padding meant for letters?

    • Good question: Depends on a fair amount of stuff. I can't see from here, but I can get Customer Service to help you very quickly. Can you PM details please?

      • +1

this is what I mean, store rep why can't you just tell him how the games are being packed… like just call up customer support ask them and report back here…. like if you guys gona put the stamp on the CD and send it like that just tell us.

        • Sometimes it is done all the same way, in bulk, but not this time, due to some exceedingly complex anomalies. So it depends. Customer Service can confirm, if you tell them who you are, they will respond promptly and professionally. By the way, I am very helpful where I can be, but I'm not going to make something up about what I don't know. That may sound like "holding out", but it's just being truthful. I know what my job is, and not everything is. Think of me like a traffic director. I know how to get you the things you need. But I'm not the driver, nor the car.

      • Well I can see that for free economy it says "Items sent in a plain envelope or waxed paper packaging."

        Is priority the same?

        • +1

This time was very different to usual, because the logistics team had to solve an unbelievable amount of issues caused by outside sources, all at the same time. The office didn't work the weekend, but some key individuals in logistics did. Generally if you actually pay for shipping, you usually also get an upgrade in packaging. The more expensive the product, or fragile, the more work goes into it. The free upgrade people got to Priority in the context of this offer is Australia Post Priority, not our Priority service, as mentioned in more detail at the top, in the deal. Our Priority is a paid service that has extra packaging. I am advised that all Priority items for this deal were in a padded package, except Express Post because of the 20mm Australia Post restriction. This is likely to be fairly consistent across the board, even though multiple fulfilment facilities were involved to get everything out on time!

        • @sellingoutsoon:

          Thanks, that answers my question.

Have all orders from this deal been sent or are there still some to go?

        • +1

@Kilgharrah: Another good question! Yes, all deliverable items are shipped.

  • Store Rep why do you have an overseas IP?

    • Some staff are overseas at certain times. Not our call centre, that is in Australia, and nearly all of of our shipping is done from Australia too. At present, even if we ship from overseas, it is wholly owned, and not drop-shipped, although Selling Out Soon may drop-ship for other vendors, or retailers, under their own name, especially if we build stock for them.

  • Just received item but case was broken in delivery and customer service isn't much help. Item also had some 'shelf wear', which the staff acknowledges. Good luck guys, probably will be my last purchase.

    • I am quite sure we can work something out for you :) if Australia Post has treated your item differently to how our people have. Can you PM me your order number? This stock is amongst the last remaining stock of Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain ever, and may have shelf wear, which is why it says that on the item page. But it will be no different than purchasing from any store that has empty boxes on shelf (like EB and JB), and much better than some stores that sticker their stock, use unofficial boxes, or tape it with packaging tape, we've seen lots of things over the years. This deal is all original and official stock, as per description. Go to deal for full terms and item information, including barcode and other detailed information, thank you.

  • So everyone got their game?

    • I haven't but I did not get express post. If you ordered before the deadline (4pm, Thursday) and it was sent express post and you are in a metro area, you should receive your game today as express post normally takes 2 days (max).

      • Hi @KupoHo, you wrote this at 12:20pm AEST today, Thursday 24 March, but Customer Service has provided confirmation from Australia Post that your order was received and signed for at 9:41am today, Thursday 24 March.

        • Hi rep, I'm in WA so unless you posted it express and someone in my household has quit their job and and kept it a secret and is at the house, no one would be there to sign for any parcels.

Also I've never identified myself with you either, so you could be mixing my order up with someone else?

Your cust service rep has just provided me with a tracking number so Hopefully Auspost may have just stuffed it in my letter box. Will update when I get home!

        • @KupoHo: No it didn't go Express. There was no issue in any way with your order because it wasn't PS4. Your item left as per the Availability on the site under the SKU you purchased. You negged the deal for an unkown reason, and later identified yourself with Customer Service, who provided you with the correct information about this. I'm only replying publicly, with non-identifying information because you have publicly stating things that Australia Post has proven otherwise. Better to reserve judgment until I have a chance to respond, or simply contact Customer Service who have this type of data at their fingertips, because I do not, unless they contact me after you've contacted them. They do a superb job, and Australia Post delivered your item as described, and in perfect time :)

        • +2

          @sellingoutsoon:
I'm really not sure what your response is about? I do a lot of online shopping and know what timeframes Auspost normally deliver things. As I was aware my order was not shipped express - I did not expect it to come any earlier than the timeframes given on your website and was happy to wait for it. My response to suicine94 was just to reassure him that if he's was posted via express he would get it today (which he has) - nothing more.

I initially asked you about tracking on here and you told me to go back to your lengthy post and find my answer which states this "priority" is not a paid tracked service (so I contacted your customer service, as suggested by you) and they advised that yes, I do have a tracking number?

If you have to get petty about it, I posted at 9:20am (WST) and the parcel was delivered at 9:41am (WST) prior to my knowledge of a tracking number existing for my order.

Anyways, I have just gotten home and checked my letterbox and it is indeed in there and someone (likely delivery guy) has peeled the signature required sticker off, so I am really not sure who (if anyone) has "signed" for it and lucky this is just a $30 game.

I am revoking my vote because you have done right by your customers, apologised and offered them a suitable solution and because someone drew a big smiley face on my packaging (lol) but you really need to reevaluate the intent of how you want your posts and comments to come across and how the are actually perceived.

Just for anyone interested, mine was shipped in a padded bag and was in perfect condition still factory wrapped. Thank you :)

        • @KupoHo: Awesome. And thanks for explaining. Happy is good!

  • OK I just got my game. I'm happy to un-neg the deal. Can someone teach me how?

I also got this e-mail from them trying to milk another sale.

fast reply, thanks. Ok done now, why cant I upvote after a revoked a neg? anyway not that important. thanks.

  • Ok im playing the game trying to use the dlc codes that came with the game. And its already used… so confirmed i just got a 2nd hand game!!! Everyone becareful.

    • Was it factory sealed?

      • No it wasnt so all our codes dont work lol

        • The product description says… "Sealed original Aussie stock, in full retail packaging (no unsightly OLFC compliance stickers!)" so what you received is not as described as it's unsealed…

    • Same with mine. Entered the code and it says someone has already used it. It wasn't factory sealed and when I open it the disc just fell out of the case. The game came in an envelope but luckily no damage to box.

    • I got the same as well.code already used.

    • Does SOS have 2nd hand trading licence?

  • Everyone who got a 2nd hand code should neg this deal so that we can account for hiw many times they did this to us? Anyone get a code that worked? Lmao

    • +1

You do need to bear in mind that with any DLC there is a slim chance that pirates have successfully used a code generator to gazump your code before it's even unsealed…it's happened to me a couple of times over the years, it's not usually a huge hassle to contact the supplier for reissue.

      • +1

Love to hear that from the Rep though.

  • Hi fellow OzBargainers, I hope you all had a nice Easter break.

    1. We care about how people are treated, and will help as much as possible
    2. All stock is sold in good faith as it is sold to us, please note: this was official stock.
    3. All purchases are subject to whatever it says on the website for the product you bought.
    4. We do not know of any DLC issues, until now, subsequently we have already registered our concern with the licence holder for this product, and will expect an answer back within 48 hours.
    5. If anyone has had DLC issues, please contact Customer Service immediately, providing your daytime phone number and Order # so we can create a log of any issues and deal with them accordingly.

    Thank you.

    • All of us has 2nd hand DLC. please send me a new DLC code.

Guys if you got issues with your DLC try to contact the guy named Ed in customer service, he is the bet one from my experience.

  • Did anyone here get a DLC code that worked?

  • Update: Here's what we know so far:

    • Xbox 360 - no issues
    • PS3 - no issues
    • PS4 D1 - possible issue, as yet unconfirmed, please contact Customer Service if DLC doesn't work, so they can log issue and respond accordingly
    • PS4 - standard - no issues
    • Xbox One D1 - possible issue, as yet unconfirmed, please contact Customer Service if DLC doesn't work, so they can log issue and respond accordingly
    • Xbox One - no issues
    • I got PS4 not day 1 edition and my DLC doesn't work

  • +1

Paid for brand new game. But received 2nd hand pre-owned game. Not happy :( :( :( It was supposed to be a gift for a friend, now it is not suitable as a gift and wasted $$$.

Lots of scratches on the box. Not factory sealed. Did not open the game and want to return it.
Did not order Day-1 edition, but sent me day-1 edition.

    • lol I ordered day one edition and I didn't get it.

You should Neg the deal to protect others from the scam. I got tricked into over turning the ng and now I can't neg again :(

      • We believe there are issues that need resolving in some (rare) genuine cases, and they will be dealt with properly once we've verified all the facts. What you have said however, does not hold water. I have been monitoring your situation very closely since you provided your order number via PM, because of false allegations made, and ensuing unnecessary panic caused to the OzBargain community.

As a rep, I try to help make sure that all parties perform (at least) to the level of any agreements they have made.

lol I ordered day one edition

You actually emailed: "I dont want D1 edition" (sic). Therefore no, you did not order Day One Edition.

        …and I didn't get it

We sent yours by Express Post for free, as indicated. You told Customer Service item received before Easter, then after Easter reported "DLC code in your your box has been used". However, if you didn't get Day One Edition, how could you "get" a Day One Edition DLC card?

I got PS4 not day 1 edition and my DLC doesn't work

And how could it have been used (or not work) if you didn't get it?

        • Store rep at least know the products you sell…. I ordered Day 1 edition but was downgraded to standard as many people here mention before the way the post was worded it appeared that I ordered the Day 1. after the bait and switch I realised in your website I actually ordered the not day 1…. well played. (why others got free day 1 update anyway? your warehouse division no good?)

The standard edition also has DLC with it. I had 2 dlc cards slipped into my game box and those ones did not work. the Day 1 edition has EXTRA dlc on top of those.

No, as mentioned before, you actually emailed saying: "I dont want D1 edition" (sic). Therefore no, you did not order Day One Edition. The URL of the item you ordered also confirms this. Title of this deal did not say D1 for P4/X1, but it did say D1 for X3/P3. if you are unsure, please read the deal revisions (that may have been suggested to you before), because all of the information is there in plain sight for everyone to see. In addition, full details of each version are provided on the site. At time of deal there was no Day One Edition offered, only standard, which I'd expect would have reduced confusion. In any case, to clarify: Standard Edition does not say "Day One Edition" in the title, the slick (box) is different, and the text in the description is different because it doesn't say it is the Day One Edition, because it isn't. It also doesn't say it includes the D1 DLC, because the standard edition doesn't.

No that is not standard. If they were a limited time offer, then maybe. But normally you don't get that in the box, at least at major retail, one of whom confirmed today.

Day 1 edition has EXTRA dlc on top of those.

Our website shows what Day One Edition entails, in detail, if you are unsure. If you got more than you paid for, that's great. If you didn't, that's OK too.

        • @sellingoutsoon:

What are you talking about? I opened my Non-Day 1 game (which is ok) and inside was 2 DLC code papers and a Map of Afganistan. When I tried to redeem the codes in my box it said they were used. I don't know why you making this complicated….

The codes in my box didn't work. please fix it for me.

    • @Schpeltor: Sorry to hear of this. Mistakes can happen of course, however this game cannot be purchased pre-owned. Some items are factory-sealed, some are not. Please view the item description for exact information, then contact Customer Service who will help you promptly and professionally.

Received my PS4 copy in a padded envelope and scored a free upgrade to the Day One Edition. The game disc appears to be pristine and the DLC code worked just fine when I redeemed it using my Aussie PSN account. I know this deal has been controversial, and I hope the rep has learned some valuable lessons from the experience, but I have to say I'm happy overall with the outcome of my order. I hope those with DLC codes that didn't work are well looked after. Thanks to SOS for the deal, and for the complimentary upgrade :D

Nah it shouldn't I got mine 2 weeks ago, you got scammed bro. if you get your game the DLC code probably don't work cos it was a 2nd hand batch of games they sold.

Rep, you said you will resolve the DLC code issue in 48 hours last week lol.
And why is you IP in Hong Kong selling the games from there?

        • @suicine94 yeah i think so too atleast i paid with paypal and yes ive messaged customer support last week but recieved no reply ive used ozbargain for awhile and this has been the biggest hassle of a deal ive ever bought from

        • @Tutien87:

Its good you used paypal, you can just do a charge back. If you want customer service as for Ed, he's the best. I'm trying to contact Ed to help me with the DLC but I got handballed to Apollo who asked me to show me photos of my game disc.
