STOCK UPDATE (resolved)

Please accept our sincere apologies for time taken to get exact information regarding these extenuating circumstances. There was conflicting information, although much of the issue (all outside our control) was resolved yesterday. It took this long to iron the information out. This is being written within 15 minutes of final information coming to hand. And as aforementioned, much of the "make-good" resolution has already transpired, in the interest of serving you better.

DETAILS: At a pre-warehouse level there were errors which could not then be resolved by our warehouse, despite strenuous and sustained efforts on their behalf. We have now resolved all issues, to a better standard than agreed (see Availability for what was agreed in terms of dispatch — applies to all purchasable SKUs at time of offer — and shipping), and Selling Out Soon has even made good on the SAME DAY DISPATCH outcomes in terms of the time it would have taken for the advertised delivery services. Details below.

SPECIAL DELIVERY (EXPRESS POST) AT NO CHARGE for orders received first day before listed deadline. These items were initially due to ship same day by the free off-peak shipping, as per details under Availability on the item page on the site. Because this stipulation was not met, due to factors outside our control, for which we apologise, ALL ORDERS received before 4pm AEST (agreed deadline) on the first day have been shipped by Express Post, at our cost.           @Spackbace: Hi Spackbase :) you might be surprised to hear that I completely agree with you, and in addition I found your data to be accurate. Although (for those who care) we're selling the official Australian version. Theirs is listed as "100% PAL (Australia/NZ) Compatible" which is a very careful way of saying "import". They import nearly all of their stock because they are vertically integrated with VR Distribution (basically the retail arm of VR) which is fine by us, but thought we should explain, in the interest of accuracy, because OzBargainers like details!

          • You're right we're lower on both the Xbox One and PS4, but also…
          • We've now beaten their price of their import, with our Australian title Day One Edition for both Xbox 360 and PS3

    I have both consoles which version is the better version. In the ground zero version ps4 was the only version with full HD, is this still the case for phantom pains or is the glitch still exist for the xbox version?

          @suicine94: Yes, I understand what you mean about the technical bits. It's important to develop one's own opinions, I (personally) value everyone's right to a valid opinion. A lot of people might agree. But perhaps not everyone. Not everyone is really into the minor differences in the technical stuff, at all. If you are, that's OK. Interestingly, although lots of people talk about it (if others are talking about it!) in truth most don't care that much, or can even tell the difference. People buy for lots of reasons, and it's nearly never technical, in my experience. But that's just my experience with buyers. Some people probably have more experience with game buyers than me. Oh, btw it took me this long to realise you thought I was trying to get you to buy two because I'm a store rep…no…it was a left-field answer to your problem. Maybe that's what I'd do anyway.

          Pertinent story re. technical aspects vs gameplay: I have a friend who had a girlfriend with nearly perfect teeth. They got along amazingly well, never fought, and were truly in love. Then he dropped her, for a girl with actually perfect teeth. They were terrible together, it was hard to watch. But at least she had perfect teeth.

          That's why I play Megadrive. See if you can join the dots. All the people over 35 say "Amen" :)

If a potential customer wants information on your product shouldnt you help? Your answer to my question was "Good question: Does any phantom know if the X1 version is more pain?"… so is that helpful to help me decide which version to buy? Anyways i bought the ps4 version after getting help from others so you can sleep at night now.

    Store Rep I just did some browsing in your website, how come when you go in it asks something like "do you want 40% off?" then you have 2 options which are "I'm still thinking about it" and "sure, everyone likes a deal". but then even when I click "thinking about it" the result is the same, the coupon code pops up in my face…. is this website as dodgy is your sales tactics in this post? if the customer is letting you know that they are thinking and might not want the deal why does the website give it to them? also if the outcome is the same whichever option you click why is there an option to click? why not just have a pop up saying MGSV is $40 off using this code…. now I'm doubting if this deal is really 24 hours only… or is that another sales tactic/lie?

    Not having good experience on the website, too many pop ups and click baits.

    I just received an email asking whether I would like to 'upgrade' to the Day One Edition for an extra $5.99.

    Am I the only one under the impression that I was already getting a Day One Edition? When I ordered I didn't see any option to get either a Day One Edition or a Regular edition…

          I ordered the PS3 version and looks like it hasn't been dispatched either? Still says awaiting fulfilment so clearly not same day dispatch…so definitely false advertising. Need it for next wk….hrmmm…..

          where is the store rep now that he has our money and we have no games??

          None of the things you've suggested are drastic enough. Call Obama and get his Secret Service working. Or call bikies.

          In all seriousness though, it's the weekend, businesses that aren't open on weekends (such as online stores for despatch etc.) aren't as likely to respond on the weekend. A bit of patience will go along way here. If you've contacted their customer service then just wait for a reply.

          I've actually never negative a deal before or know how to lodge a report. Best to wait and see how the store rep intends on resolving this issue and keeping their customers happy. Always a concern when PayPal payment goes to a personal account rather than a company though???

          They've posted other deals before so maybe someone who has bought from them previously can shed light on their service. Or has anyone who ordered from this deal had a confirmation of dispatch as yet?

          I can see there's a new option to upgrade the ps4 version to the other edition for $41???

          All a bit suss…

          I'm not sure if you took note when you bought your copy but when I purchased mine, there was only one option for the ps4 and the $40 off promo on the website actually states it's for the day one edition…..so it appears the promo has changed? Like this doesn't even match the offer posted here….especially since it's been confirmed the rep changed the offer and blamed it on mods…

          OP was always referring to the day 1 edition being X360 or ps3, albeit confusing.
          It would be nice if the store rep knew how to keep things concise, less marketing terms and more about the product itself.

          Oh, and a website without fifty million popups coming up sporadically.

          Was at the shops, for anyone who hasn't managed to grab the ps4 or Xbox 1 versions, bigw and target are selling it for $49 :)

      Yea i think just get the psn version. I got tricked into this deal…. yea they said one day dispatch and now my game is held for random in a warehouse either i pay up at the extra $6 that they never mentioned or my order is put on hold
