I'm doubtful any consumer grade PCs or motherboards support this many RAM slots. Good for two PCs though. If you're considering upgrades, it's probably time to go DDR4 and a new motherboard and CPU

      Intel x79 has had 8 slots since 2011. I have an x79.

        And X99 continued that trend
Although they're considered more enthusiast class

Yeah my ASUS P9X79LE can support 64GB as well. I think it almost cost me $300 for a 4x4GB kit about 2 years ago >.<

It's tempting to buy this now but I have never ran out of the 16GB I am using now so it would probably be a waste for me.

  • Looks like a Broden opportunity.

lmao, I had to look up what Broden meant in the FAQ's and boy what a laugh, ah the internets…a place where someone else is always harder faster or just so much more awesome than everyone else.

  • Would this be enough RAM to play minecraft? :p

    • only if you have 64 bit Java loaded

Less than $37 per 8GB stick

Not sure why this price is special. You have to buy 8 and it's only a small saving over buying one.

I can get a single Crucial 8GB stick at Amazon.com for 28 USD as I write this. (~37 AUD)
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006YG8X9Y
I only need to buy one.

Add 5-6 USD for postage (easy to swallow if you are buying other things in the same order). No need for bulk-buying sticks.

  • Price increased to £195.73?

    • Yup, the seller must've sold out :(

      • No. Says in stock. Just a case of Amazon jacking up the price due to noticing that there was a sudden increase in demand so probably thought they could get more money.
