    Thanks for pointing that out! I shall edit the post.It will work on Windows 10 that was just the specs they wrote when this model was released before Windows 10 came out.

  Can they be removed from enclosure for internal use? Type of drive inside?

    Yes, it's relatively easy to do even without destroying the enclosure. It will contain a WD Blue (as of late 2015 Greens are discontinued and have been replaced by Blues)

      So no encryption etc? I heard some enclosures are encrypted so if you take the drive out it doesn't work..

        There's definitely funny business going on with the USB controller but the drive is just an ordinary drive

  Ok, i got one of these for Steam games…
  Seems ok, gonna keep it as an external drive for now though
