  • Very cheap!!.. nice..

  • only bad thing i can see is no hdmi

    • Also potentially the power saving "feature" that can't be deactivated. This monitor dims itself when idle. Otherwise a good monitor if this doesn't bother you.

      • I have the g2210. The power saving feature can be deactivated on that model.

  • Coupon does not seem to work - get "Coupons Entered The following coupons entered does not meet eligibility requirements." - Thx anyway

  • +1

Works, just ordered one. Dont forget the 7% back from moneybackco, I did :(.

  • Looks like a good deal, shame about lack of HDMI.

    Positive review from cnet: http://www.cnet.com.au/dell-g2410-339296020.htm

We tested the Dell G2410 with its DVI connection. The display posted a composite score of 97 on CNET Labs' DisplayMate-based performance tests, which is the highest we've yet seen.

    • +1

Although having a HDMI port is always better, you dont NEED to have a HDMI port, Just grab yourself a DVI to HDMI cable or your set !

  • Is this the one with the adjustable stand?

    • I don't think so,
I think you might be referring to: G2410H…I checked Dell and they don't sell it anymore

  • Great spotting vchoy just ordered myself one was gonna get one last time for 300 but I was soo broke so this is even better ;) this time.

negative vote for saying be kind due to first post.

  • sigh no hdmi
i got the s2409w which is great though they've stopped producing it =/

  • +1

do they have 16:10 monitors anymore?

    • Thats what I'm looking for too.

      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/23146
Thats the only one I could find for now. Price premium for 16:10 screens. I don't like the shift to 16:9 at all.

      • and there used to be a price premium for 16:9 monitors when they first came out iirc

SHUT UP ABOUT FIRST POST BS

    • Hahahahhahahaa. Hilarious! Yeah, what's all the first post warnings these days? Freaking just post it if you're got a bargain :)

    • +7

At least this person has posted a deal unlike you..

      • haha good observation!

  • So cheap. Still remember paying $1100 for my 2405 when that was THE monitor to get. Sad to think a $250 monitor is now a better replacement :(

    • I'd hardly call a budget TN panel monitor a replacement. the replacement for the 2405 would be the U2410

      • mmmm yeah true that. Further reading, I think I'd stick with 16:10 too!

  • It sounds good, but given Dells track record with prices I have some reservations.

  • good deal, just ordered one

  • Damn if this was 1920x1200 Id buy it in a second. Still a good deal if you want 1920x1080

A bad thing about Dell is they call and and arrange a convenient time to be dropping off the package. You must be there to sign for it only they give a window of time. 10am to 4pm etc.
Anyway, if possible, give them a work address so you can skip that bother.

Why I say bad is because it would be better if it just came early before you went to work or, like Catch of the day, it was sent to the local post office if you weren't home and you just collected it.
But I guess that's what couriers have to do.

    • isnt there an after hours option for 50 buks more?

  • "This is my first post, please be gentle."

    No.

  • +1 for this I just bought one. Fortunately I cancelled my last order to get the G2410h with the adjustable stand but it was sold out.

Anyone know where to get a cheap adjustable stand for this?

  • +1 as well. Just wanted to say thanks. Nice deal. Let's hope 16:9 grows on me.

  • Sorry for sounding ignorant, but what advantages do LED monitors have over normal LCDs?

    • +1

      less power consumption?

    • +1

less power consumption and supposedly better contrast, but there was this led tv that had problems with colour reproduction…. still early tech i guess so i dunno, aybe that tv was really shoddy (samsung iirc)

      • Ah i see. Thanks

    • Yes essentially you get deeper blacks and almost no backlight bleed. The video review on CNET confirms it handles movies better: http://reviews.cnet.com/lcd-monitors/dell-g2410/4505-3174_7-…

  • +1

According to DELL's dead pixel policy for this model, even a monitor with 5 bright dead pixels does not qualify for a replacement.

  • very nice deal too bad i already have 24"

  • Ah this is the post I meant to reply to!
Ordered one today, $254.14 delivered ($100 off and -15% coupon).
    Thanks.

  • Has anyone heard from them yet? It's been almost a week…

    • If you got the acknowledgement email with the reference number you can track your order here: http://cs.ap.dell.com/support/orderstatus/index.aspx?c=au&l=…

      This is what mine says:

We have received your order. It may take up to 3 business days for your estimated delivery date to be available. Please check this page again to view your estimated delivery date.

    • I got a call today from DELL and confirmed that I would get it tomorrow.

      • when i go to that link, all i see is…

        Service Unavailable

I've only received the order acknowledged email, have not yet received the order confirmed email ???

  • Received this morning. By default it has some super power saving mode which makes it look a little dull but that's easy to fix in the OSD.

  • i just got mine delivered, never got a phone call…
website says estimated delivery 14-Apr-2010 ???

Had a few issues getting it to work… power button was not lighting up… switched from dvi to analogue cable and it all worked fine… then manually set input to DVI and had to reboot before it recognisded DVI…

Anyway, it's all working now… :) It's going to take a while to get used to 16:9….

  • I got mine delivered this afternoon. Thanks heaps vchoy.

  • Ordered late on Wed April 7th and it arrived first thing Mon 12th April.
