It it in stock at the moment. You have to pick Amazon as seller, since some 3rd party sellers selling lower price than Amazon itself but don't ship oversea.

  • Does anybody know if this RAM will work with the Lenovo Thinkpad E560 from this deal? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/236745

    • +1

No, you need DDR3L SODIMM DRAM for Lenovo Thinkpad E560.

      • ok thanks…is that because the motherboard doesn't support DDR4 RAM?

        • +1

Yes, this DDR4 SODIMM DRAM won't fit the DRAM slot of E560.

        • @O O: thanks for your advice. one more question coz I'm a newb sorry. I want to upgrade from the 8GB it came with to 16GB. Can I leave the existing single 8GB stick in and just add another one, and is there any specific brand/type of DDR3L I need/should get? Or should I get two new 8GB sticks and remove the existing one?

        • +1

@sav11: The Thinkpad E560 have 2 DDR3L SODIMM memory slots, it should be OK to just add another 8GB stick to the remaining slot.

You don't need a specific brand of memory stick in order to work.

Here is one that's compatible to Thinkpad E560.

        • @O O: Great. I had seen some comments that u should use RAM in pairs/match the same brand, but seems it doesn't matter. I'll get an 8GB stick to add plus a 480-500GB SATA 2.5" SSD (please correct me if this is the wrong type for E560) and this laptop should be great for me. thanks again

        • +1

@sav11: 2.5" SATA SSD is the right one.

However, Thinkpad E560 has 1 2.5" drive bay only. So, you can only swap the drive. You need to clone the drive to the new one. Here is a article might help
