It probably won't be available now since the transaction has concluded, but if you've got a tax invoice keep that with your starter pack.
Failing that, on your starter pack itself note down the location where you bought it from, along with the date and time that you purchased it.
If you plan on purchasing any more starter packs, retain all receipts and slips that are generated at the register. Sticky tape it to your starter pack and retain those receipts/slips until such time that you actually use the SIM and the credits have been applied to that SIM.

If you've got the receipt showing explicitly that you purchased a starter pack that should be enough. Keep it with your starter pack until you use it.
bought 5 from wollies @Casula NSW tonight.. was told max. 3 per customer and expired in 6 months (shown both statements in the catalogue small fine prints, unsure how to interpret this.. from activation date or purchase date or what?). anyway, they're very kind to let me have 2 transactions.. all with store activation receipts and plenty of stocks there. thx OP.

Omg,,this deal has already finished and you havent truly understand the fine prints? Vodafone RECHARGE are the ones expiring after 6 months and not the non-activated sim cards!

Rain checks might not be offered for third party products. That sounds normal. I'm astonished that people have been getting rainchecks for these!
My local woolies gave me rain checks, so another 12 months to redeem it :)
My Woolies at Nambour, QLD gave me a rain check for 3 and I picked them up last week when they had new stock, easy! The staff member previously offered a rain check, I didn't even think to ask.
I bought four at Woolies in Bentleigh, VIC today, they had lots. I also bought some vodafone ones from Coles in Caulfield, they had lots also but behind the service desk. Are they only 3gb? Not really enough data but I paid already. No id, scanned fine at self service in Woolies, in Coles, the receipt printed some pre-activation code.
Apparently, voda are offering one month free if you port over- anyone know the detail of that?
Yeah..apparently you have to restrain yourself when your using the vodafone sim cards on the data usage but it includes unlimited talk and text which is good.
I suppose if I run out of data I can always switch back to amaysim a few days earlier

PS: Coles had a limit of 5 Vodafone packs per transaction.
How about Amaysim from Woolworths?
From my experience it was limited to 10. I took 12 to the counter but the cashier couldn't scan past 10 and then said "oh, there is a limit of 10 per customer".

But keep in mind, for starter packs at Coles they do not print additional activation slips. The necessary details are printed on the receipt itself.
I bought 6 Amaysim (unfortunately they only had 6 packs left) from Woolies self check out yesterday and can confirm that after I made the payment, it first printed the receipt and then printed 6 individual activation slips for each sim. I didn't need any help from the staff, so I guess you can buy as many as you want - provided they are available at your Woolies.
I bought 3 packs yesterday using self checkout. No activation slips for any of them. I just scanned the standard barcode at the top right hand corner. I did not scan the long barcode (25+ digits long) at the bottom. Have I done it wrong ? I got charged $10 per pack though.
I think you can not use the SIM without store activation.
It is like iTune card or anyother giftcard.
normally checkout machine tells you to scan long barcode.

That's interesting. I accidentally scanned the standard barcode and the system told me that it is invalid and I should scan the long barcode at the bottom. How did it allow you to checkout?

just check the SIM status.
you put your SIM number and they said "paid" then just close the window.
it is not activated until you send your ID anyway.

Thank you. All my sims have PAID status. When I scan them, the scanner must have somehow picked up the long barcode details as well.

Expiry dates are not marked anywhere on the SIMs, Amaysim website or in the Woolworth's catalog
Side topic - not on amaysim but one of my Voda starter kits I purchased a few weeks ago in the Woolies sale didn't come with the activation slip. Either it was printed after I walked away from the counter or the sales assistant didn't hit neccessary keys to generate (or something along those lines). Is there an online option to check the status of my Voda sim as I'm not ready to activate yet but want to check that it's 'paid' ?

I just had a chat with Amaysim and the consultant advised that the expiry of sim is 12 months from the date of purchase of sim. It's appears that everyone is hearing a different story.
Anyways, could someone please assist with the following questions?
If I purchase $2 telstra sim, how easy is it to port from Amaysim to telstra and then back to Amaysim? Would telstra $2 sim ask me to recharge?
How could amaysim know? is there a field where you have to enter the receipt number and date of purchase when you register? Unless they have this policy, the amaysim consultant is smoking the good stuff. is there an amaysim consultant on OZB to verify?

The sims do not expire in 12 months, the promotion does. They may be phasing out the $44.95 Unlimited 5GB PLUS plan, therefore needing to use the sims within 12 months.
After 12 months, if one activates a sim card what will happen? loss of promotion? loss of credit?
