    What's the issue with that?

'You must port in to Optus to use these starter packs'

what does this even mean? you can start a new service (ie. new number) without any issue… its not like Optus will deny new customers because they're NOT porting.

      • Thanks, fixed.

    • Anecdotal comments have noted a downtime of days (instead of an hour or less), requiring many emails and calls to rectify.

This is easily avoided. Port to a different carrier.

  • For those that cant get to coles target have Optus $30 for $10 atm. Kmart at ballarat also have optus $10 sims on clearance for .50 didnt bother posting as was not sure on amounts

  • I still can't get my hands on amaysim starter packs from woolies will try again tomorrow

    • Haha, last day tomorrow!

      • Yep hopefully they are in stock tomorrow

  • Bought a $30 prepaid SIM at Coles Epping, NSW today.

Expiry date is 1 Feb 2018 in case anyone's wondering.

I like to stock up since they're good for travelling (use with $2 Daily Plus plan for 500MB/day; at $10 per SIM it works out to be 67c/day for 500MB).

    • Thanks for the update goosmurf.

Where were the $30 SIM cards located? Behind the service desk or with the other SIM cards inside the supermarket?

      • Behind the service desk, annoying spot to check expiries. :)

They only have the $2 SIMs available for self service. And weirdly the Telstra $30 prepaids as well IIRC.

        • Same, I visited 2 Coles today and they both kept it behind the counter. Kinda strange given that Vodafone and Amaysim keep their high value starter packs on the shelves (despite inactivated).

Bought the optus wifi modem from Coles and it is unlocked ~ using telstra sim card to test.

    • Thanks bb77, let us know how things go.

    • Good to know it is unlocked.

So 14 days to use start from the date I activate it, right?
