Dick Smith - 50% off MiDrone Nano - $9.99

91

I've been watching the price of this Drone fall in recent days and is at the sweet spot of $9.99. Was pretty popular in February with trev likes bargains post of $15.98 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/236548 and now is 37.48% cheaper than that!

Pros:
Great small drone to begin learning how to fly
Cheapest drone price I've seen, cheaper than monty's post a few days ago https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/240883

Cons:
It's only available instore
Dick Smith

Here is a YouTube tutorial of a similar drone

    Good luck finding stock!

I actually accepted your challenge and rang 4 stores - all engaged or rang out. Seems like a bit of a lottery.

It dawned on me as I was listening the phone ring and ring that the staff have no real boss http://www.smh.com.au/business/retail/dick-smith-goes-into-v… so wouldn't care at all about customer service.

Good luck to anyone who's game enough to try and locate stock!

  • Yep. None near me (3 stores).

as i heard they are closing down the online stores, maybe the stock checker isnt actually working anymore?
anyway, tired with this DS bargain posted, always only available in small suburb or very limited stocks, or in store only.
better just go to your local DS each day every morning to grab bargains (if any)

  • No locations with any stock given. None found. Waste of time.

Bit harsh to neg the OP on this. Pretty sure this is going to be the case with all of Dick Smith bargains posted from now on - are you going to neg those as well?

Oh, btw, i negged you because i scrolled down to look for a legitimate reason for a neg on this post and found none. Waste of time.

      • Unless somebody has found actual stock in a shop, the posts do not belong here. There must be evidence of "sufficient quantity"

        • Which will probably be the case with all of DS postings from now on. I think it's pretty reasonable to assume that there will be rapidly decreasing amount of stock and/or the website won't be kept up to date from now on.

        • @zo1dberg:

Which is why they shouldn't be posted unless there is a reasonable chance that someone can actually buy them. The general rule is 10 or more items. Otherwise, it's a waste of time. The sufficient quantity guideline is there for a reason.

        • @dazweeja: There is a reasonable chance that someone could get them; that's the point. You can be pretty sure there was at least 10 of them at the time of posting - jsjc confirmed there was some stock in Perth below.

        • @zo1dberg:

I certainly cannot be reasonable sure that there was at least 10 of them at the time of posting based on reports of two. And you can't either. There were at least two.

        • @dazweeja: ok so Dick Smith went to the trouble of marking down a product with only 2 left in stock. That seems reasonable, sure.

        • @zo1dberg:

We're talking about the time the deal was posted, not the time when Dick Smith lowered the price. Only one person could find two items after the deal was posted. I don't know how many were available when they lowered the price. You can speculate all you like, there's no evidence that there's more than a couple for sale.

        • @dazweeja: So when did they lower the price then?

        • @zo1dberg:

That is 100% irrelevant to the deal posting guidelines.

        • @dazweeja: ah ok. So I'm guessing it's only relevant when you bring it up, not if I respond?

Insufficient quantity is a valid neg

Sounds like they have sold out of "F**Ks to give" as well

there was some stock at Perth William St yesterday, more than a couple

  • One of the motors on mine burnt out quickly but luckily I paid with PayPal when it was available online before. They wouldn't give a refund in store.

  • they are not closing online stores down Kogan is taking them over. shops close but online store will not.
