[Big W In-Store] Xbox One/PC Wired Controller - Liquid Metal $29 Star Wars $39

260

Photo was taken at Menai NSW store. Not sure if available nationwide, but employee told me you can call up Menai's store to price match with your store.

Target is selling the Star Wars controllers for $79 (lol), but here's the description from their store page:

The Xbox One Star Wars wired Darth Vader controller comes complete with dual rumble motors, impulse triggers, 3 metre in-line cable and 3.55mm audio support. This controller is an officially licensed Xbox One product.

    wired :/

    they're 3rd party right?

insane that they can rrp a 3rd party that is more expensive then buying the original

    • +2

      trying to sucker people in

even $29 is a stretch given it sounds like there's some game incompatiblity (!!!)… how a 3rd party LICENSED peripheral does this is beyond me

So these are crap at $29?

i've got old power A for xbox (ver 1) and ps3

          both have button stuck issues

I saw a Telstra shop charging $39 for a Lightning cable - $10 MORE than Apple themselves! And it was plain white, no braided or any fancy features. Biggest ripoff I've ever seen just to charge a phone

    • Haha plus it's wired!

  • Do these Power A's light up like the Spectras? I purchased my Spectra controller for $20 (from Big W the other month) so that was a better deal but this is good if you could get it. IMO the RRP isn't an accurate reflection of their worth and the Spectras are worth $45-50 and these ones maybe $35-40 (if they don't light up which I think they don't).

The generic I have is much lighter and has light up features but you sacrifice the robustness of the original and it is corded. D-pad is great and buttons are good.

You may as well wait for the $60 offical wireless 2nd gen with the headphone jack. Should be any day now.

  • buy them and sell them on ebay.

  • Don't know about Xbox One but the original controllers are one of the best things about the 360. You're ripping yourself off getting dodgy 3rd party ones.

Can't speak for the 3rd party XB1 controllers (these ones look pretty average though) but the first party XB1 controller is amazing - even better than the excellent 360 pad. The only controller I've ever used that's better is the XB1 Elite controller - it's out of this world.

  • They're the same price in my store, must be nationwide.

  • Plenty of people don't like the quality of these Star Wars ones, so check their returns policy.

I own a Star Wars one, I wouldn't purchase it again. The quality is poor.

Would be fine for a purchase for kids.

The third-party controller was always the dud controller growing up. Strong memories of broken turbo functions that you couldn't disable.
