I made that mistake with Maccas 'loaded' fries… They were awful…

Thicker chips? That means they'll be cutting corners elsewhere. More frozen and less cola.
They're thicker which means less can fit in the packets from what I got.
Fairly sure they're saving money by making it thicker, as some how inside the chip its quite hollow.
Maybe they get Opie, the work experience kid to hollow out the chips, and use that to make hash browns?

Their old chips were nothing special but these new ones taste pretty bad
I personally disagree. Their old chips were terrible. HJ's had the worse fries out of all the fast food joints. Poorly salted and could taste the oil. These are much nicer
Yeah the old ones were foul to the point where I'd only buy a burger and drink. I like that they've tried to change them and the new ones actually have some taste but I just don't dig em.
