  • Is it the same one that DS had on sale? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/224216

I still have mine brand new in the box. Probably time to get rid of it.

    • I can take it off your hands.

    • I think it is as there is no mention of a HDD in the keyboard. I picked up my Switch 10E (64Gb + 500GB HDD http://store.acer.com.au/acer/store/index.php/sw3-013-178n.h…) for this price from DSE in December last year. Been a good little unit, I updated it to windows 10 straight away.

    • Is there any chance DS has more of these kinda things for $200? I want a laptop for chromecasting from. Sucks to have to get out of bed to go to my PC to pause etc..

      • Get a keyboard like Logitech k400..

        • PC is in a different room, I am watching a lot of stuff on chromecast lately. Its fine when they have a decent app to use on mobile but for some services like Plus7 you really gotta do it from a windows machine.

Not a laptop. Hardly an netbook which many are equipped with i3 processer nowadays. More just a pad.

    • That Z3735 is a Quad Core Processor.

  • Do you guys think this would be a reasonable alternative to this laptop:

Yes and no. It really depends on what you want to do with it. The Teclast has a faster processor, more RAM, runs 64-Bit Windows (and Android, apparently).

The lack of a keyboard and full-sized USB port is, to me anyway, a problem. The beauty of having a Windows tablet is that you have the full capability of a desktop OS. Naturally, I'd want to have the inputs that will let me do the things I need to do on a desktop OS. Things like typing on a tactile keyboard, plugging in any old USB mouse I have lying around, plugging in a USB drive, plugging in a gamepad, etc. These are things that I actually do all the time on my Switch. I yank off the screen when I want to read things in bed or take public transport.

Also, if you want to use a bluetooth keyboard or mouse, don't forget that you'll need to make sure you those devices are charged up.

If you'll be doing mostly tablet-like things (watching videos, listening to music, surfing the web, playing touchscreen games, etc) then yes, go ahead with the Teclast.

  • Screen Resolution?

Doesn't seem to be mentioned on the link.
