For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate depending on the card.

    • Yes it is. Thank you I've updated the deal.

      • +1

Yeah it's been that price for a couple of days. It's hard to recommend if you already bought a tablet from the Samsung deals.

        • +6

I've since realised that my main account shows higher prices on some products, while my secondary does not. Hence why I didn't see it.

Besides local warranty I really don't see how people go crazy for Samsung when the good Lenovo tablets are so cheap.

          • +2

@Clear: True but $400 for the tab s9/s10 ultra is pretty compelling, if you were lucky

          • +2

@Clear: Drivers for emulation are a lot better on Snapdragon, especially for Switch. Winlator/MiceWine for PC games is also a lot better with Turnip drivers.

If I didn't pick up the ~$350 Tab S9, A Legion Y700 would be killer for my use case.

      • +3

Pray you don't alter it further.

    • Would the global ROM be okay to buy here and more user friendly? Any downsides to the global ROM besdies $16 more expensive?

      • global ROM

      • While it does mention the below I don't know how trustworthy it is. Lenovo have blocked previous CN tablets from installing OTA updates that were flashed to the global ROM. Or more accurately the update installs, the tablet bricks itself and recovers back to the previous version.

After the global firmware is installed, the system name is changed to Lenovo Idea Tab Pro, and the model name is changed from TB375FC to TB373FU

        • +1

There's an XDA thread about these tablets. Seems pretty easy to flash the global rom if you want to, but yeah the consequences are exactly as you say, can't do OTAs anymore. Need to manually download every new update and flash it, no way to properly convert CN product to global device, even though it's an identical device.

To me it isn't worth it, it's "englishified" enough by installing google play and nova launcher and removing most of the Chinese apps, and I still have OTA updates.

  • Got one of these in the last deal for a bit more. Fantastic tablet for games and streaming

  • +1

    Great tablet. Amazing price

  • Umm, can you change the language to English with the CN Rom?

  • I can't get this below $361? Someone help me out?

    • +1

The second link ($254) price went up super fast.
The link in the post has been updated and theres a third link in the text.

      Pre-GST and code/coupon stacking theyre approx $264

Use topcashback as well for 13% and the aliexpress in house cashback too, just make sure you use it cos it expires fairly soon.
A month or something like that

      • OK so the price in OzB was pre-GST? Kind of weird for an Aussie website? I get it's still a good price at $300 but it's not a 'final sale price' of $254?

        • +1

You won't get cashBack with topcashback au, or any cashback aus sites as it's only for affiliated links which these tablets are not. Just buy it normally

        • I was just trying to make it as simple as possible, the price you see on aliexpress when looking at any listing is pre-GST.

Quill is right, i didnt check if it was an affiliated item for tcb, srill get the aliexpress cashback thats mentioned in the post though

  • Is it too big for kids?

    Any rugged case?

    • +1

It's quite big but great for the kicken while cooking or doing dishes. I bought a solid case from Temu for around $3 shipped.

    • yeah it's pretty big i wouldn't recommend it to younger kids, teenagers would be fine.

  • Is Xiaoxin Pro same as Lenovo Idea Tab Pro in this deal? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/906727
    They look very similar.

    • +1

Yeah. In China there's the standard display (this deal) and matte display Xiaoxin Pad Pro. Here they've launched the matte display variant as the Idea Tab Pro.

      • I got the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro from above deal and very happy with it.
I would have gotten this one given it's cheaper with a standard screen. (although 128G vs 256G and no pen but I don't really need them).

  • Deal finished already?

    • Maybe - I can't get the listed price

    • +1

      Link

This one is cheapest again now lol. Clear's had to change the link a few times now

      • Lowest i can get that one is $367?

What trick am I missing here hey?

        • seems they updated it very fast

          • @worrierwan: Lol yep…….. It did seem a bit too good to be true. That's alot of tablet for $250

            • @Dvbargain: Idk both links work on my end

              • @quill: Hmm it actually works still in incognito with no topcashback. Makes thats impacting it?

            • +1

@Dvbargain: I managed to get it for $269

              • @brocky2006: Don't know how, lol. I couldn't get it below $300 no matter what I did

  • Price incorrect?

  • I was just about to order then I thought to add the keyboard. Couldn't add to cart, so went to order separately and the price had gone up.

    • Same, except i was trying to add a case as well

      • I was after the 12gb256gb version, and it jumped from $372 to $464, prices before checkout.

  • +2

There's on priced slightly higher here https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005007448494328.html for $166

    • +1

Managed to slip an order through for $266 before they put the price up. Cheers!

  • +1

Expired while I was researching the product :(

  • +1

    Getting $359.44 in the trolley
cannot quite hit the US$164.24 (~A$254.48) checkout price in the title

  • The first link seems to be working on my end?

  • New link also expired

    • How? Both links show $164-5 on my end

  • Anyone able to provide link to a case?

  • Deal link works for me for US$159.24, ~246.63 AUD with the code

  • Global rom vs CN rom?

    • +1

Choose CN because global rom will not have updates and widevine L1 (needed for some streaming apps)

      • Any disadvantage?

        • +2

iirc CN rom only has Chinese and English display language

  • 8G or 12G?

Does the 4G RAM make huge different?

    • Depends what you want to do with it. I have the 2023 8gb model and it's more than enough for my use of streaming and browsing

  • Is the 12gb version worth getting? How better would it be - ie, what sort of use cases would need it, and would it be significantly better?

    • Maybe for switch emulation? Doubt it's worth paying $75 extra

  • Can we root this deivce ?

    • +4

Maybe go to a bar and chat someone up instead

  • +1

A quick look at the tablet on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nz3xSP6CEA0&t=336s
Skip to English with CN ROM: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nz3xSP6CEA0&t=528s

  • +1

thanks, got the 8gb 128gb (have microsd card for more storage) for $273 aud after conversion with
applied coupon code at checkout manually for $20 off as well with code AUEF33
I clicked the link in your description
now if I click again it shows 209 usd instead of 164 usd I got for
initially i saw 162 with the default link in the title then keeps changing

    • Yeh mine is auto applying coupon but even then it is 209 USD

Tried a bunch of ways and cant get it to 160usd

Do people leave their currency set to usd? Does it matter? More convenient to see aud for me?

      • +1

i have set it to usd, used to set to aud before for convenience but getting used to usd as if you forget to change to usd, you will be losing

the pricing is likely slightly dynamic as more ppl view as everyone knows by now, and it jumps to the next bracket if enough purchases, not 100% sure though, could also depend how many times you view things and spend time in the app

I bought it mine at 47% discount, now it is showing 33% discount

I could not collect any coupons at all, few had errors and some greyed out, had to manually enter in the code in case it worked and it did

        • Maybe because I buy alot of small Aliexpress items my pricing is (profanity) lol

    • Are you using a cashback site?

      • Nope

        • Is AUOZ33 a one use code? Maybe i accidentalky used it already?

          • @Dvbargain: On the link in the post I get $172 if I click it because the cheapest is the global rom version

            • @quill: Lol when I click I get US $232.04

              • @Dvbargain: Is your address and region set to Australia?

                • @quill: yeah

                  • +1

@Dvbargain: Idk, only other option is trying a new account or device.

                    • @quill: Thanks for trying to help my man

                      • +1

@Dvbargain: Are you able to upload a screenshot?

                        • @quill: All good Quilly, my own uselessness at this today has saved me some money, I might leave it at that hahahaha

      • I went straight from title link and it showed 162usd
then went from cashrewards app and it went up to 174usd, went back to click the link in the description and it went back to 174usd, so it won't likely track

        • +1

Won't matter, not affiliated link so no cashback

  • +2

Samsung is keeping me hanging…. i would buy this if they end up cancelling my S10 Ultra

  • +2

    8GB/128, used link in description & code AUEF33 - $266.55AUD delivered.

Thanks Clear & SNTC for your comment. Appreciated.

    • +1

Awesome thanks this also worked for me.

    • +1

Also managed to get it for $265.85, thanks Clear. Awesome deal.

    • +1

no worries, I forgot to mention in my above post that I got the flip case as well, hence 273$ aud

  • I am seeing $337.19 now :(

  • Thoughts on the Lenovo keyboard case at $125 pre-GST? Trying to find videos of the keyboard folding completely back on itself. How's the longevity of the "hinge" part? Going to tear easily?

    • According to this review https://youtu.be/mvbcy3ZVAaA somewhat fragile

      • That was the video I watched. Just wondering if there were others with the same keyboard case and would concur with the youtuber.

Given the price of this deal, it feels like a $125 keyboard is expensive.

        • The cover also slides around https://youtu.be/8M9Ba7gYSmE
Sadly it's the nature of keyboards being expensive accessories

          • @quill: The keyboard sliding around isn't ideal but thanks for pointing me to that video.

  • Any LTE models?
