An AA cell measures 49.2–50.5 mm in length, including the button terminal and 13.5–14.5 mm in diameter.
Each Eneloop would be (50 mm) x (14.5 mm) x (14.5 mm) =
0.0105125 litres volume3.7L / 0.0105125 L = 351
So in theory, a maximum of 351 Eneloops would fit. In reality I woud expect around 300 not 457 as OP claims :P

That's true if Eneloops were cuboid, however they are cylindrical so the second layer partially merges into the first layer, the third layer does likewise meaning each alternate layer takes up a much smaller volume than a layer of cuboids would.

So actually went to get some of these, marked as $6.50 (absolutely not worth that), and refused to come down in price even with the website. Couldnt be bothered arguing the point. Only wanted them to store some cables in.
Ugh.
So, "Online price is indicative only" = stores can charge more than 6x this!
I went today to check them out and was told it was only the blue coloured ones and that they were all sold out.
These look like they are made out of that plastic that cracks when exposed to sunlight because of the uv. I would not buy this garbage as it will eventually shatter and fail just when you just want to move it with its contents.

Yeah PUK code is different, just went to get some. Price is either $6.50 or 2 for $7. But showed the guy the deal on my phone using their website and even though it's not coming down in price on their register he still gave it to me for $1. What a champ!! black and pink is all they had at my local store. No complaints here. Just ask they might still give it to you.
