May want to add that it's notebook ram in title :)

  • Good price for the 8GB Crucial CT102464BF160B, In previous postings on Ozbargain the price has been between $41 and $46 . Looks like an all time low as well according to camelcamlecamel
    http://camelcamelcamel.com/Crucial-PC3-12800-204-Pin-Noteboo…

Hmm.. now to decide to pay in USD or AUD..

    • +1

      USD + 28 degrees card.

      • Or citibank plus card. Cheers matey

  • Good one lyl

  • dammit. bought the same thing for $82 last month.

    • +2

And got it today. Worth live chat for a $10 rebate?

      • Same here but mine arrived last Friday, I just checked tracking on Amazon website and says still in transit.

      • $8 credited to my account gotta love Amazon

      • ah great idea. thanks!

  • Anyone know if the Dell e6520 (latitude) supports 8GB DIMMs? Absolutely insane price for the 16GB!

    • +4

spec sheet here says 4GB dimms only… (http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/latit/en/latit…)

i have a 6420 and some 8GB dimms lying around, ill run it up and let you know.

      hang 10.

edit - OK tried on a E6420 and E6530 and both detenct and use 8192MB DIMM's perfectly!

      • Good on ya for testing it out.

A lot of the times manufactures quote less than what their machines are capable of, and it wouldn't surprise me if you came back and confirmed 8gb sodimms work.

        • sad thing is, my E6420 is more powerful than my brand new i7 equipped E6470 :/

          wtf intel?

4 generations newer and still slower.

    • +1

      8GB DIMM's work on both E6530 and E6420.

      Good luck!

      • Yay! Thank you very much, I'll update my BIOS just to make sure it works (still running factory I think).

        • Yeh I am running A21 on my 6420 which is the latest.

      • What voltage were the DIMMs you used?-1.35 or 1.5V?

  • +2

Man Amazon has crazy computer sales, especially Ram and SSDs!

I don't need netbook Ram at all, but that price is beyond ridiculous. For 65, just buying it and staring at 16gb netbook ram laying on the desk would be satisfying enough.

Will any of this RAM run in the Acer laptop that was OzB from JB last year?

    • Link?

    • first one works with both 1.5/1.35v so it should work.

    • Yeah I just bought one 8GB stick for Acer laptop from last year. Acer ES1-411. It's supposed to support 8GB.

    • You hit the right button. How can I forget JB Acer deal! I bought two. lol.. I had bought 8GB RAM for it then for $70 I guess. Without 8GB RAM, that laptop was a real lazy bum.

  • Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB Kit (2x8GB) 1866MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM - Black
    USD $61.90

    Seems like a good deal!

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00J8E8Y5C/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=…

    • Doesn't ship to Australia though

      • Oh damn… How did you find that? Or do you have to be signed in? Im on my phone not on my Amazon account :(

        • Yeah you have to be signed in

        • @lyl:
Thanks lyl, but damn it haha…

        • +1

          @camshandez:

Haha quite annoying, because this ram was at $58 2 weeks ago, so I was planning to post it until I saw that it doesn't ship.

      • I've got one that does, I just bought 32Gb of HyperX SODIMM for $180AUD… I'll find the link

    • But you can get 32GB of SODIMM in this deal for less than $130 AUD…

      • Not CAS9 though if that's what people were after. The high freq has higher latency, give and take for frequency and latency
The 1600 MHz usually performs better

and all of the Ballistix Sport SODIMMs I've scrounged the internet for have mostly been 2x4GB sticks, not 8Gb

        • I don't think CL9 justfies spending over $50 extra though.

  • It's not 50, "Crucial 16GB Sodimm Kit (8GBx2) DDR3-1600 MT/s(amazon.com) - US $51.25 (~AU $68)" from that, it's only 20 extra

    You cant use "Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 1866 (PC3-14900) SODIMM(amazon.com) - US $38.37 (~AU $51)" to compare, because of the 2x4Gb, not 2x8Gb sticks

With the proper matching kit, it's actually more expensive to get the Crucial

      • The >$50 difference I meant is when you buy 32GB of ram, sorry for the misunderstanding.

        Even for 16GB, it's still a pretty big difference…..

        I'm referring to this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006YG8X9Y/

If you buy 2 of the 8GB sticks, it works out to be ~$65 shipped

Your listing works out to be ~$94 shipped, so around $29 difference if you are buying 16GB

  • That seems like an incredible bargain on the flash drive.

  • The Crucial 8Gb Single ram is now $21.99 on the same link even better deal

    • +1

Yeah that's what i put as the main link (the 16GB is when you buy 2 of the $21.99 8GB)

  • I bought the Crucial 8GB SoDIMM just a couple of weeks ago when it was US$25.99 before shipping. Can't believe it has dropped US$4 to US$21.99! Anyway, just letting you guys know it works great on a Inspiron 15 7000 Series 2-in-1 laptop, http://www.dell.com/au/p/inspiron-15-7568-laptop/pd

  • I got these on the last deal & they work on a late 2012 13" MacBook Pro…just saying!

  • Not saying the deal is bad but the title should mention 2x8GB instead of 16GB. I thought its a single 16GB stick.

  • Great deal! Ordered 32gb for my iMac and another sd card for my GoPro.

    Cheers OP!

  • Damn we missed it for US$21.99. :/
