        Do you know if the 10000 "pro" allows you to charge 2 devices at once?
        i.e. one through the type-A socket and one through the type-C

        Information on that model seems pretty scarce, since it's so new I suppose.

          For the new Xiaomi 10000mAh Power Bank Pro, the USB Type-C port can do both input and output.
          The USB port (USB Type-A) can do output only (charge other devices).
          This item comes with:

          1 x Micro USB to USB (Type-A) cable (about 12cm)
          1 x Micro USB Female to USB Type-C Male adapter

          @mushtato: Thank you for details reply. Are they USB compliant too? There were lots of issues of USB type c cables and adapters not being compliant.

          Also do you know if the type a output can do QC 2.0? I'm not sure if it's technically possible?

          @GuniGuGu: The cable itself is a regular model.
          The adapter is the key for Type-C connection.
          Xiaomi suggests that is a high quality Type-C adapter.
          We've also confirmed the USB port (Type-A) can only output 5.0V :)

      I think yes, but Mushtato is Aussie stock and hence have to pay GST, not grey import.

      P.S: Forgot to mention, usually receive stuff from Mushtato within 48 hrs.

        Well to be fair there's no such thing as "Xiaomi Aussie Stock" or is there?

        Just because seller is based in and shipped from Aus and give you an invoice showing GST doesn't really make the item genuine aussie stock….

        Xiaomi product doesn't sell locally here if that makes sense.

          In a real sense, they are. The Mushtato Australian worker pops them in the mail box in Australia, from their Australian warehouse, they arrive in a couple of days, and if there is a problem , you drop them a line and they sort it.
          They are the local "pistons" supplier as well, their gear is guaranteed genuine Xiaomi [there are quite a few fakes out there, especially with the pistons :-/] and this unit is a seriously good power bank.

          That is correct.
          However, purchasing from an AU registered company means you are protected by Australian Consumer Law.
          And hence, your item needs to be covered by local warranty.
          Would you rather have no protection at all :P

          @zeitgeb3r: Theoretically, that is correct.
          However, the genuine Xiaomi Power Bank has protective circuit design.
          It will disconnect power if overheated or short circuited.
          Besides, burn a house using 5.0V power bank is quite a challenge :P
          It would be a good application if you can achieve it and put it on Youtube.
          I bet there will be over 100,000 views within a week :)

          More like the fact that mine will charge both a work colleague's S6 and my Xperia from ~18% to full charged, recharge quickly, allow pass-through charging [charge phone while charging power pack] and is still doing that after 9 months. Some packs badged as Xaomi are not genuine, with poor capacity, cheap and inneffective charging and discharging circuitry, and will often die a sad death the first or second time to try to use them :-/
          I don't as a rule come in here barracking for businesses. Your concerns are genuine.
          So are Mushtato:-)

          @mushtato: The voltage has nothing to do with the possibility of causing a fire. There are plenty of videos online where Lithium cells have failed in horrible ways that could easily cause a fire. Also the power bank isn't 5.0V, that is the USB output voltage while the cells inside will be 3.2-4.2V depending on which specific chemistry is used.

      In the meantime, these guys have the 3's at $29.95 - my vaunted LG 'beats' that came with the G4 went straight back in the box after a comparison as I didn't like the feeling of having mud in my ears…[from the sound, not the fit].

    I have this model as well as the 10,000mAh model. I really prefer the form factor of the thinner one, although of course you pay the price of only 50% the capacity.

    I've found the 5,000mAh is ideal for maintaining a single phone in a long run of video or gaming, yet need something that fits easily in a pocket.

      One advantage of this one - when one of our public facing vollies had a flat phone, I used the hi-tech stunt of connecting her's to the pack, then putting a rubber band around them. She didn't have to leave the phone on a wall-wart but was able to carry it with here and use it while it charged.

        Yeah, I have a bunch of 200mm flat noodle MicroUSB and Lighting cables (Comsol from Officeworks clearance deals) for exactly that purpose. However I use hair ties as they are more elegant and last longer than rubber bands.

        Another brilliant idea:
        Shut down main power in the house while you are out for long weekend.
        Attach Xiaomi Power Bank to a Xiaomi Yi Smart Camera.
        Connect the camera to your neighbor's WiFi.
        Now you can monitor and record home activity during your trip ;)

    Do you have a product (or plan to import one) which will charge a Surface Pro 4? Chasing something for long haul flights so it can last the entire trip. Watching high quality x265 videos on that screen is fantastic, but only get about 8 hours out of it unfortunately.

      Surface Pro 4 requires 65W power to recharge.
      That's really a lot for a portable power bank.
      You probably need a small generator to supply that much power.
      Knowing that Xiaomi doesn't have any product that powerful.
      If that is one exist in the market, the size of it should be huge :\

        Hugh, heavy and expensive as expected…
        But compare 2.1A output verses 2.58A needs at 12V
        Haven't tried it but the figures are short for a bit.
        Will it shut down or cause problem when energy comsumption reaches the peak?
        Need experts to answer this one :\
