        I think @hooray meant condensation inside the phone :)
        My phone gets hot during navigation using windscreen mount… This would be better to keep it cool

      I used to drive around the country a lot last year relying on my iphone 5 and google maps for directions. The phone would stay attached in front of the aircon grill for hours each day, sometimes 5-6 hours spent in the car in the hot outback. The work phone was used by someone before me for about a year and I had it for a year, so it lasted for at least a couple of years with no issues. There were 5 of us on the team doing the same job under similar conditions and our phones took the abuse OK. If anything, your phone will not overheat in summer.
      That being said, it's still not a guarantee your particular phone will take the cold/hot shocks the same way mine did.

    Am currently using the NKMOS Ultima S as I was sick of useless phone holders not being able to handle RFT's, sports suspension and 'spirited' driving. Only thing I've found that will keep my phone in place. Purchased this out of curiosity to see how it stacks up. Thx OP.

          My understanding of the law is in reasonable use of the GPS, but I can imagine police being strict in interpreting "using the gps function".
