    What I find funny is the included free single black glove. Who will want to use the black glove with a budget table like this? Can you imagine inviting friends over to your garage and insist everyone dresses in black trousers, white shirt and a black tie so they can feel like they are at the crucible? At least let them wear thongs or Crocs and have a few stubbies around.

  Buy a slate table. I bought a three piece slate table from ebay brand new for $500 a few years ago. It doesn't look super fancy but it plays like a pro table.

  I would recommend buying better felt than what would come with a cheap table, in the $120+ range on ebay.

    This is good advice if you want a flat pool table for the long term. The cheap wooden stuff is fun to practice on and really lightweight, though that's a fairly useless attribute. Shooting curve balls is not fun.
