Good deal, just a shame they don't have express shipping.

    • +2

They do, but you have to pay roughly $20.

      • +2

        It doesn't list the option?

        • +8

The store requires you to buy it as a separate product :)

@PR0r: Oh damn, wish I knew that.

          Wonder who negged us.

Same price as Deal Machine - you can pay an extra $10 USD for express shipping from Deal Machine. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/244222

Waiting for my order to arrive, can't wait to get this phone!!

PS: Are there any stable android roms out for this phone yet?

    • +1

does the price of that deal include basic shipping?

      • +1

Yeah it was $209.99 USD free shipping (same as Aliexpress) with the code, but I paid an extra $10 USD to have it shipped through DHL (expedited shipping).

My total was $282.75 AUD paying through 28 Degrees

    • Its a pro version with 2gb ram and 16gb internal space
This is different Pro Prime with 3gb ram and 32gb internal space

      • +3

The deal from Dealsmachine is for both 2Gb ram and 3gb ram models. $179.99 USD for 2gb version and $209.99 USD for 3gb version

You need to apply discount codes after you login to get those prices.

Give the official Global Maui Rom a go. Runs really well. Just takes a little getting used to.

    • PS: Are there any stable android roms out for this phone yet?

They are getting there, the latest version I've heard is still a bit buggy

these devices should be at 220-250 level not the current price range… my money is wait and xiaomi m4 at 180 is better fun, just it doesnt do dual sim is a huge diasppointment

    • +1

The mi4 is how old now? That's a stock clearance price, not the regular.

  • +4

Ordered few days back but its taking forever to get shipped
and according to the recent conversation with store rep
    7 Days to process(shipped)
    37 days to get delivered
Piece of advice you should have loooot of patience if you want to buy from Aliexpress:(

    • +1

Wow that's slow, I'm glad I paid extra for expedited DHL shipping through the Dealsmachine deal.

Although my order has been "processing" for 3 days now. Hopefully the shipping time is 3-7 days as advertised.

      • +1

        Good for you :)
I heard its the best phone

    • I bought mine from DWI (normal shipping) and it only took about 3 days turn up to Sydney CBD

    • damn, I bought one from everbuying with just normal China Post free postage, took 15 days to arrive

  • Can any one tel the dofference between Redmi note 3 pro prime and Redmi note 4

  • Make sure you do Cashrewards too. 2.4% last time I used it.

  • +1

eGlobal - http://www.eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au/xiaomi-redmi-note-3-… seems to be about the same price once expedited shipping is considered.
Is there any benefit to the the .AU web presence? Are they both considered reputable sellers?

    • +5

I bought mine from eglobal for $274 shipped - ordered Friday 15th and it arrived Friday 22nd (to Central QLD). Awesome phone. It came with google play already on. I have read all the threads about rooting and roms etc - I have never done any of that before. I can't notice any of the Chinese stuff and ads some sites have mentioned. With google play already on it seems to do what I need it to do and I'm happy with it. As this is my first Android phone I have nothing to compare it to - I've not had an iPhone either - last phone was Nokia - this is so much better and easier. As a complete noob all the talk about flashing ROMs has gone over my head. So for now I'll keep reading up to learn why others have done it but for now I'm happy with the way mine is.

      tl;dr eGlobal is legit

      • It says 25$ extra for shipping to brisbane
is there any way to escape that?

        • Yeah it said that when I was doing my order but when it went through it didn't add it.

      • under system settings about phone, what ROM are you running? Just making sure it isnt a dodgy eglobal modified rom

        • It did do one update after I started everything up - it says this:

          MIUI Global 7.2 | Stable
          7.2.3.0 (LHOMIDA)

I have no idea about these things - that's all good isn't it? The phone is perfectly fine as far as I can tell. Apart from having no Australia to choose in "set locale" - I chose HK - it's just acting like any other non-Chinese phone I've had ;)

        • +3

          @anonymous_coward:
yep thats all legit, thats the latest stable firmware. ENJOY!!! I chose india is my locale because I was born there LOL.
Make sure you go into the security app and play around with the settings, you can allow autostart (so apps can give notifications) and also you can change permissions for apps that seem dodgy.

        • @nathan-drake:
Thanks for that - I was pretty sure it was all OK but it's good to know for sure. And thanks for the tips. One thing that I couldn't find so I'm not sure if it's there - was to be able to copy my contacts from the SIM - it doesn't even access them. I have connected my gmail/google ID so it brings down all my google contacts but as for the ones on the SIM I had to put the SIM back in my old phone and write down any numbers and manually put them in (because not all my phone contacts use gmail). Perhaps this is one of the things that can be done with another ROM etc - idk

        • +1

          @anonymous_coward:
dont think you can, most ppl just sync to their google account lol

        • @anonymous_coward: Most phone apps have an option to export the sim contacts into a file. Which can then be placed onto another phone

        • @ko0l:
Yeah I've done that with other phones but I couldn't find any way to import them on this phone. It may be there but I can't find it.

  • This version is quite rare; been looking for it for a while. All I found was the 16GB version.

It is pretty much essential when you are going to do 4k videos using the Google Camera app.

    • +1

What is different from all the other 32gb Redmi Note 3 pro?

Its been this price for awhile (like a week?) lol

      • The one listed is the 32GB version. The price has always been the same, but for weeks it stated sold out on everbuying and others.

However, lots of sellers were only stocking the 16GB version for a while as there was no 32GB stock.

  • So there is such thing as a Note 3 Pro Prime?

I thought the pro and Prime ere different? No?

    • -1

pro prime is just with 3 gb ram and 32gb storage. standard pro is 2gb ram and 16gb storage. everything else is the same.

      • Ah thank you man.

      • +1

Great how he gets 4 negs but no one bothered to provide the correct answer.

        • +2

can assure you I provided the correct info :)

          2 version of PRO (32gb ram 32gb storage; 16gb ram 16gb storage) - all with QL 650, Adreno 510 ; 1600mp, f/2.0;

          2 version of Normal version ( 32gb ram 32gb storage; 16gb ram 16gb storage) all with MTK Helio X10 ,PowerVR G6200 550MHz ; 1300mp,f/2.2

        • @user01:

          Cheers again! :)

        • @user01: opps, i meant 3 gb ram for 32gb storage version AND 2gb for 16gb storage version respectively.

    • These snapdragon ones have most of Oz's LB 4G bands covered, versus most DSDS-phones that support none
+all the high bands of a flagship.

Need $273 with Express Shipping again…

  • Hi there.
Does this model come with finger print?
    Cheers

  • +1

    Thank mate.

  • i bought from gearbest http://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_308824.html the 32GB model. $239USD shipped

Unlocking the bootloader is a pain in the ass on these new Xiaomi's.

    • What do you do with it once unlocked?

      • +3

Unlocking the bootloader gives you the ability to:

        1. install custom ROMS like cyanogen mod and
        2. root access (required certain apps like Titanium Backup — although MIUI has a backup app feature which i have not tried yet and may be a replacement for Titanium Backup)

If 1 and 2 aren't issues for you, then ignore my bootloader comment. Just stick with stock firmware and you will not be disappointed.

I have had this phone for 2 weeks and going to go back to the original firmware then use the google now launcher to get the "pure google look and feel" The MIUI android ROM is very good. I can't believe I was living without a fingerprint reader on my last phone.

Battery life is superb — my wife and mom are in shock how long the phone lasts compared to their iphones. The phone is pretty damn fast too.

  • I tried putting a 128GB micro SD card, but it doesn't seem to be reading it. Am I doing something wrong? or does it not support 128GB? Oh, I have the 16GB/2GB RAM Pro.

  • Will this phone work fine with all Australian networks?

    • It should be fine, if I recall correctly one of the new 4g bands isn't supported

  • Do you think the extra 50 or 60 is worth the 3gb version? It's for my old man he just uses it as a basic phone. The other option was an oppo f1.

  • +1

Got this phone from eGlobal with free delivery for $273. It's super fast, no chinese apps!

But mine doesn't read 64gb or 128gb microsd card, it is global version note 3 pro snapdragon chip 32gb/ 3gb RAM model.

Does anyone know how to fix this? and how to move downloaded apps to microsd card ? It's quite different GUI compares to my samsung tablet! Thanks.

  • Price shows up as $308 AUD

    Missed out the eGlobal deal.

Anyone here kows eGlobal storeRep if they could bring back the deal ?
