How does it clean the air?
Filtration is usually the front-line treatment for cleaning particulate matter from the air…second only to magic from fairies or pixies! ;)
I've had one of these for about a year, so far it has collected 692 litres of water from inside the bedrooms mostly the main bedroom, occasionally used in 2nd & 3rd bedroom. Massive mould problem & condensation on windows prior to purchasing the dehumidifier. It's only run during the day
It has a filter which is similar to the filter on an air conditioner,easy to clean the dust off it every few days. It doesn't actually clean the air.
Highly recommended if you have a moisture or mould problem certainly a far superior option to those containers with moisture absorbing calcium chloride crystals.I also have a couple of dehumidifiers and they're also great for warming the air in winter. I run mine for a couple of hours before bed and, as well as sucking up water, they completely take the chill out of the air so you can do without a heater in your bedrooms.
If you don't need cooling in summer, I reckon a demhumidifier is cheaper for getting the temp up and performs a necessary dual function.
