16GB RAM is overkill just for games but useful for other high load processing such as video editing and having 267 chrome.exe processes :p

Also I'm of the opinion that an SSD is "essential" these days in any high end system. The performance losses "everywhere" just make spinning disks as a system disk a non-viable option IMO.

Not sure how this compares to Nvidia discrete card lineup though.

Also be sure to check the monitor on this model: the Z50* model line had a weakness in the monitor brightness area - this may have been addressed in the Z51 line though.

    • Love the comment about chrome.

    • Graphics card similar to a 950m, just higher power usage (I believe) and less optimization in some games.

    • I have 16GB ram in my laptop only because it is so cheap and the slots were free.

    drop of 200 pounds today

That's extreme weight loss. How much does it weight now? :P

Approximately 28/807th of an average american.

      • +2

        that's oddly specific

Can you express that in the uniformly agreed upon units of Olympic size swimming pools?

2.8kg today which is ~6.17 pounds.
So it used to weigh ~206.17 pounds….. Never buy that without free shipping code.

2.8 kg and 32 wh battery means you'd be tethered to a desk.

Beyond that - it's not a bad price if you want a laptop you can occasionally move. If you're going to keep it on your desk maybe a desktop would be a better move

      yeah - i read

Up to 4 hours with 41 WHr battery

      and stopped there

  • Quad or dual processor?

  • Dose anyone know when is that Deal end?
