The coupon is aut generated per user (at least that is what it says on their page) and your facebook friends don't have to join, just be invited, I invited 3 friends and that was it, got the coupon straight away

Dont know if they put any advertising or brand name on them
But you just upload a picture then you can zoon, move image and rotate it with their "simple" tools

there was a similar deal like this on facebook where you had to become a fan and refer a least 3 friends and you'll get a free iPad. Although the only thing i got was spam as you will have to enter your address and email in order to claim.
So I'm not entirely convinced this deal is real.
Well, Artscow has been around for a while and seems like a reputable company (although I haven't ordered from them before). Will update if I don't receive the coasters.

agreed. word of mouth referrals are valuable to companies… essentially they are offering a few free coasters to get 3 valuable, targeted exposures to people who haven't heard of them. I HATE this kind of marketing… it takes me back to the days of those spam messages where you would get a free phone/laptop/$$$ for forwarding this message to everyone in your address book… big neg from me

Just go to gmail and set up 3 email addresses.
Create them facebook accounts, and use these each time offers like this come around.
I have a few I use when things like ths come up. Afterall you dont want to annoy your "real" friends.

I think ArtsCow is OK, but normally I wouldn't have voted a positive for this deal. I just felt that I had to do my bit to counteract all the people voting negative.
This deal does exactly what it says on the box. By all accounts, the items on offer are high quality items, and fully customised as well. There are no hidden catches. Unless I misunderstand how FaceBook referrals work, the three friends you "dob in" will receive no more than one message from ArtsCow if they don't decide to join up. If you think that offering freebies to get you to tell your friends about ArtsCow sucks, then by all means say so, but I don't agree that there is anything negative-worthy about this offer, going by the OzBargain voting guidelines. tomsco posted a link to them earlier, but I'll post it again.
