With the code "WOOLIES", I too have no idea what store it could be.

        Ah, the old Ozbargain colworths-e-roo…

        A coles in woolies clothing

Bought some items on their site yesterday and opted to pick up the next day at nominated Woolworths. 8 out of 10 items I ordered were wrong i.e wrong colour wrong size wrong style.
Was my first time using it so didn't really get off to a good start….. My 2c.

Coles aren't any better (In addition to stuff being wrong, I was charged ~$15 for stuff they didn't even deliver). I like how it's up to you to bring it all back to the store to swap/get refunded.

I'm not sure why it's so hard. Surely the stackering staff are also the picker, so they know the products.

The joys of having muppets.. I mean 'Personal Shoppers'.. :P

Woolies C&C customer service is deteriorating, I had wrong items, items poorly/not refrigerated(which the rep then opted to replace), damaged tinned stuff which made it look like they were trying to dump off the unwanted items. Ensue to check every item thoroughly

What happens when you order above $120 but due to being 'out of stock' they end up removing items and thereby reducing your spend! This has happened to me twice (even with buffer) so not sure if I'm missing out because Woolies can't get their act together?

I tried online shopping with woolies once. ordered ~$100 of stuff. a lot of vegetarian cold or frozen items. received order and received none of the vegetarian things as they weren't in stock but were substituted by meat varieties. waste of time going to local woolworths to get the correct items as that took an age. I couldn't and wouldn't be bothered after that experience to do it again.

I untick the allow product substitutions checkbox on most of the items, I'd rather get a refund than risk getting something I couldn't eat if you allow the substitutions. It doesn't effect the coupon code usage even if the total goes under the minimum spend.

true, it was my first time ordering when they first started it up. I stupidly assumed that the stock they had on their website would be in line with actual stock levels.

undoubtedly I'll use them again when a crazy combination of voucher stacking (with weekly specials) will come around and I'll buy 3 years worth of toilet paper for $27

        • +1

Yeah I learnt the hard way also, I had a good run of things always being in stock so stopped bothering unticking all the checkboxes with orders and then got a few substitutes that were no good or I'd rather not have.

I think the $1000 in the title is misleading when in the comments you say that your total has to be $120 before all the discounts apply. What are the exact conditions for each part of the offer.

I actually prefer the low value targeted offers. I can usually get $10 off for a target or $30 or $50 if played correctly.

Thanks for clarifying the title and details. I meant to write $100 in my commment and not $1000 but can't edit it now.

  • So how many different accounts have people used to get there "first shop" promos.

Woolies certainly struggling atm and need all the saels they can get! http://www.smh.com.au/business/retail/woolworths-credit-rati…

So, spend $130, get $10 off and $30 cash back?
Is that spending $90 for $130 of groceries? or 30% discount?

  • +2

Was going to - then just don't trust CR enough…

    • you get $10 off and free delivery anyway. don't purchase based on any expectations of cashback, if it comes through bonus

      • Yeah so that's why I didn't!

  • Few would get the 30 AUD because some of your items would be out of stock (or of wrong size etc.) for some reasons, then your total purchase amount may be lower than 120 AUD.

  • Argh… only for new account / first shop.. any good discount for existing member?

  • Hypothetically… If one were to purchase the Nescafe Red machine for $99 Wollworths, and then add on $30 worth of other stuff, you would be entitled to receive the $30 cashback? Or is this a groceries only kinda thing?
