XYZ Printing Da Vinci 1.0a 3D Printer $649 + Shipping @ Hot.com.au

20
XYZPROMO

Our site www.hot.com.au is listing the Da Vinci 1.0A at a low price of $699, minus $50 when you enter the coupon code 'XYZPROMO' in the checkout. The price is reduced to $649 when the coupon is applied.

Shipping fees apply (generally around $38 to most metro locations - it's a large box so regional areas may cost more).

Limited stock available, this deal applies to current stock only.

We're discounting these because we no longer have our own 3D printer technician so we can't do repairs in-house. However, these units are Australian stock sourced through the local distributor. They come with 1yr warranty covered by the local distributor.

  • Is this model supported by Skynet

    • +3

Hi, we haven't tried it with Skynet. I don't believe it's directly compatible - you won't be able to send print jobs directly to the machine. But if Skynet can export to a common file such as an STL you'll be able to import it into the XYZ software and print from there.

proprietary consumables so its basically the bubble jet sales model. Cheap printer get you on the refills.

    • looking into this.
You can flash the firmware so it supports generic refills but will void the warranty.
Good price, probably would of bought one if i didn't get that sous vide =\

  • Good price but the 3D Printer fad is yet to pick up due how expensive they are now.

    • These plastic FFF machines will probably never live up to the 'produce household items on demand' hype

      • True but over-time they will improve and be a lot cheaper. Just like mobile phones 20 years ago. When they came out, mobile phone use to cost 20k.

  • We had nothing but problems with the one we purchased for our school, ended up returning it after a few warranty repair jobs.

    • We did have a couple of trouble-some units. I'd say we sold approx 50 and probably 3 or 4 had faults that we're aware of, and all were solved by the distributor's support team. It's true that other machines such as the MakerBot are more reliable and suited to school/professional use - they're also much more expensive! This machine is ideal for home/hobby use or for an introduction into 3D printing.

  • How expensive are these to use ongoing? Like how much does 1 'filament' print?

    • Hi, each cartridge is 600 grams.
The prices can vary a little but we generally sell them for around $45 Inc GST.

You can find our range and prices here:

      • Dayum, they go on eBay for under $30/kg. I have only received a single dud roll which the seller replaced pretty quickly. YMMV of course
