Officeworks only match Australian Products with Australian warranty. So no, they won't match

I can understand the appeal of the iPhone and why many are prepared to pay a premium for it, but to do so for the IPad? Now that baffles me.

IMO it's the other way around.
Android flagship phones are now on par if not better than iPhone, and have been for at least 3 or so years. There is no justification for the premium.

But in tablets there is a massive gap. Even the Android manufacturers seem to of given up in producing something on par with the iPad.

There's this operating system called iOS that you can't get anywhere else.

      • Kind of agree. IOS on phone is annoying as hell once you get used to Android. On a tablet however I tend to prefer IOS or windows

I can kind of get why people say "should of", but "seem to of"? Come on. That's just ridiculous

      • i think android software sucks…
Everyone is different and we're lucky we even have a choice.

      Do you really though?

Because you aren't getting iOS and it's app library with any Android tablet.

Or the Apple brand if that matters to you.

Baffles me how someone can comment on something they don't own.

I have both, been using both for 5+yrs. I prefer Android at home as it's more flexible, has more of the apps I use. And I can write an app & deploy it with having to pay Apple for a dev licence.
I prefer to support Apple at work, because it just works & there's only one version to support (even though they love to push out updates can break your apps).

But Apple is well overpriced IMHO.

Apple fan pals are a touchy lot. How do they assume that just because someone questions the value of an iPhone/iPad, they have never owned/used an iPhone/iPad? Has it ever occurred to them that there are people who are not emotionally attached to a particular brand name but will switch from time to time.?

I don't know I thought everyone was being pretty reasonable on this post.

  • Planning to buy one for the missus. Is this the cheapest price for the iPad air 2 or should I wait for an ebay 15-20% off deal?

  • Is the 2 worth the $50 on top of the Air version from OW?

    • +1

If you value Touch ID for $50.
Of course there are other less discernible differences, read here

        …and Split screen multitasking

        • 👥 hmm

Yes….. Air1 only has 1GB ram, Air2 has 2GB . This will have significant implications for being compatible with future iOS updates.
