  • US pricing?

    • Australian, deal starts tomorrow (10th May).

      • Where do I see the deal? The link you post doesn't have any mention of the deal.

      • OP - can you please update the start date + time in the deal, as of now it is still showing "US $182.84 - 199.99"

Edit: Deal link, start time, price updated to include shipping.

        • It's almost 1:30 pm, on Tue., 10th May, & No price drop, yet…?

Well over 100,000 have this on their Wish Lost…
Their'll be quite a mad rush for the 800 items on-offer.

        • @IVI: I just picked New York time for when it will be 10 May in the US. Didn't work out.

  • Good phone to use in Hong Kong/Macau.

    Only has 2100mhz 3g.

  • +2

    I have battery envy.

    • I like that some of the big battery's energy can be shared with another device.

  • Which is safe way to buy from aliexpress and how.

    • +4

      And how!

      • Hear hear! HEAR HEAR!

        • Here hear!

  • Sorry but it doesn't have NFC. AU $250+

    • Updated. It says it does, and then doesn't. :/

    • Again, the pricing starts 10th May (tomorrow)

  • Impressive specs.

  • no support for Teltra 4G by the looks of it

    • It does. (B1, 1800MHz)
Limited 3G for telstra though, but they do have 2100.

      • Telstra 3G is 850MHz only these days.
So this phone is pretty much useless for Telstra.

        • Last time I checked a website that showed towers in Sydney, I was actually surprised to see there was still a lot of 2100 3G on telstra, also 900 3G on voda. Of course 850 is the most important on the two but they do have some 2100 (old?) towers still operating, also voda and optus share some towers so 900/2100 will work on voda too but in limited locations.

        • @clse945111:
          Well that site is outdated.
Telstra 2100MHz died with the 3GIS agreement in 2012.

          @scubacoles:
That's ending the 2100 nextG network. They still operate 2100 3G as non nextG and may convert it to 4G at some point.
If you're interested you can check the RFNSA website and click on a site/tower and check the EME Report, you'd likely see the carriers and what frequency they've enabled. I just checked and there's plenty of Sydney metro sites with Telstra WCDMA 2100 enabled.

        • @clse945111:
I'll take your word for it.. the RFNSA site doesn't seem to specify frequencies being used..
But barest maximum it seems that Telstra's 2100MHz coverage entails limited infill coverage in the CBD's of Sydney and Melbourne.

        • @scubacoles:
Definitely not the easiest to use website. To view frequencies you have to click on "Environmental EME Report" and download the PDF, in there on the second page you would see the Carrier and Frequencies (along with GSM/2G, WCDMA/3G or LTE/4G).

          Here's an example site: http://www.rfnsa2.com.au/SiteInformationReports/Index?sid=M7…

  • will work on Optus?

    • I had a look over at willmyphonework.net and it shows that optus has more 4G support compared to telstra? Feel free to search this phone too. Maybe someone who know more about mobile phone bands/frequency can comment.
I think I've found this phone over on amazon too: http://www.amazon.com/Asus-Zenfone-ZC550KL-5000mAh-Smartphon…
More specs, Q/A's, reviews, etc. worth a look if your serious.

    • Will work on Optus 3G (2100) and 4G (B3/1800 and B40/2300)

    BATTERY WOW

  • -8

    Amateurs…

Plenty more phones around that would destroy this on all specification levels for roughly the same price.

  • This one is a reputed seller. Ordered a couple of phones and a xiaomi tablet. Everything arrived within 10 days of ordering. No bloatware no crap. I paid through CC as aliexpress don't accept PayPal.

    • the xiaomi tablets worth it?

      any spyware in the roms?

      • I bought the mipad 2 despite not having a SD card slot. Thing to note is that because mipad 2 was never released in the Indian or Western markets, there is no global ROM so even with official ROM you have to live with some Chinese apps. It came pre installed with play store, but to be safe I installed an official Chinese ROM anyway. Getting Google play back was a bit of a pain but worth it in the end knowing that it had the official rom

  • This or redmi note 3 if on telstra?

    • Redmi note 3 is a bit more expensive but with a faster CPU compared to this one. This price is good for this phone. The only thing I can think off that's the same Specs as this is the Oppo Mirror 5s but with a 5.0' instead and that's about $269AUD.

  • No deal yet? Shows up as $184US ~ $199US… And it is the 10th today…

  • +1

Lol @ "Guerilla Glass 4' is it bombproof now?

  • Isn't the adreno 306 GPU disproportionate for this res? Same as the LG Leon, 854x480, 4.5" http://m.gsmarena.com/lg_leon-7053.php

Of course, not every use needs it.

Just bought one. For under $200 with the massive battery, it seems a great introduction to android over my iPhone 5. Will still use the smaller ip5 until I know all my apps (mainly games) run and transfer my progress over from ios to android. Looking forward to be able to screencast Foxtel Go to my big TV :)

    • android cant screencast foxtel go. maybe you should google things before spending money

  • Waiting patiently for a good deal on Zenfone 2

    • Any particular reasons to choose that over this ?

      • Better specs (pretty much everything except battery)

  • +1

deal is on now guys. goodluck

  • Still waiting for order to be processed. They've got <31 hours or my order will be cancelled :(

  • anyone ordered the phone on this deal ?
They gave me a tracking number which is not working.
