  • Why so cheap? Is this a genuine or a fake?

    • the RRP is a bit over the top. Seems a reasonable price but I prefer to get a couple of 5000mAh batteries as that way can charge both at the same time and when carrying around they're smaller so fit in a pocket easier.

This isn't so cheap that it's unbelievable. Was $49 a couple months ago. Just seems like a regular price drop. $40 for 10000mAh is pretty damn expensive actually, you're paying for the QC and USB-C.

Edit - Unless you mean because the 'RRP is $121' which is total bullshit.

    • Maybe this new version (slightly thinner) that was announced has brought down the price:

Definitely genuine - the same as my previous posts on these.

I've yet to see a fake on this power bank.

  • But will it jump start my car?

Just a heads up for those who are unaware, there are concerns regarding the compatibility of QC 2.0 with USB-C charging. The gist is that QC commandeers the data lines (VBUS) of the USB port to deliver the higher power, which is against specs.

There is no evidence that it can cause damage, and Qualcomm has stated that they have received no reports of damage. However, I think those who purchase QC chargers to use with USB-C should make an informed decision.

OP,Your above comment is confusing. I googled this a bit and i believe xiaomi have only one power bank with a USB type C port and that is the only one which supports quick charge both ways and has 10000 mah and is the slim type. It was first released in March in china and in May its announced again for international as well.

Have a look at the old ozbargain posts for the Xiaomi Pro powerbank.

Another option but 5000 mah and $27 is below.

  • The fast Charging doesn't work for iPhones do they?

    • +1

nope the Quick Charge logo usually would appear on devices that can, it's made by Qualcomm. But Apple make their own chips unfortunately

but thankfully it's backwards compatible with standard charging, Micro USB/Apple Lightning Cable so if you do happen to change your mind in the future or get a Android tablet this may be the better investment as opposed to Non-QC. It does have a USB Type-C port too which Apple have decided to take part in for the new MacBook.

Note that the USB-C port is input only. Comes with a Micro B to USB-C adapter.

    The USB-A port is output.

This has a Li-Poly cell, so it is thinner and more expensive than the standard 18650 based Li-Ion cells.

  • Price can be good but website says RRP AU$ 121.05. It's inflated price to show higher discount.

    CHECK THIS LINK : http://www.mi.com/dianyuan10000/pro/

In China it is 149 yuan. It is AU$ 31.38 on today's exchange rate.

    Negative vote for geekbuying.

    • Also please note that the website clearly shows that there is NO NON-QC 2.0 TYPE C powerbank.

    • A lot of Chinese websites and even Australian websites (Shopping Express for example) inflate the RRP.

If I had any control over it, I would change it ;)

      • Right is right even if no one is doing it and wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it

[@Clear] Your negative vote on my comment shows unprofessional way of working. Other user can have their opinion. And I accept that. But it does not suit when you use negative vote as a representative of geekbuying for pointing out the wrong practice. You want to shut the mouth of people who raise the right concern.

Making false accusations now? I'm the one who negged you, and I've never been happier to attach proof:

And store reps can't neg vote anyways, so…

Store representatives can not make negative votes on anyone in posts they represent.

If you have a card that offers no international transaction fees (eg. Citi Signature, Coles Mastercard with Annual Fee, 28 Degrees etc.), and you want to avoid using PayPal's shitty exchange rates, you can choose to be billed in the seller's choice of currency.

First you log onto PayPal and switch to the Classic site (at the bottom left of the page).

    Then follow the guide.
