  • Tried finding out the actual specs for this thing, no user manual at TCL website.
Anyone know what refresh rate this thing actually is at 4k?

  • I have the 65" of the same series.

    TCL support stated the following:

"Our TV will only support 4K2K @ 60Hz when running 4:2:0. You can run 4:4:4, but this must be at 25Hz/30Hz. This specification is within the HDMI 2.0 spec.

There are only a handful of TV’s on the market that support 4:4:4 @ 60Hz, and even less devices that playback that format (just a handful of graphics cards).

From what I’m reading (keeping in mind that HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 are still very new), when 4K Blu ray finally is released, players are likely to be running 4:2:0.

Our TV does fully support HDCP 2.2."

This TV is on Android 4.2.2 and you can sideload apps using ADB without rooting.

Im using the following apps on my TV:

    Netflix 2.4.1 HD (xda)
    Hulu 2.24
Kodi 16.1 (watchable up to 720p)
    BubbleUPnP (for smb access)
MX Player Pro (for smb player)
    ES File Explorer Pro
    Firefox
    Opera
    Pandora
    Play Music
    Spotify
    TuneIn Radio Pro
    Play Store (included on TV)
    WiFi File Explorer
    CCleaner
    Adobe Flash Player
    Ez PDF Reader Pro
    Getflix
    Speedtest
    McAfee Security

Teamviewer Host works but only to view/uninstall apps and couldn't remote control Android
Also, Kingroot couldn't root this TV.
