Wow, didn't realise Fountain Gate was a real place. I thought it was just a made up place in Kath and Kim :)
Craps over just about every other shopping centre in VIC IMO too, and I live almost an hour away from it.
It's noice. It's different. It's unusual!
On Kath & Kim it's called Fountain Lakes, but those scenes were filmed at Fountain Gate back in the days when it was a bit dated. This shopping centre is actually quite good now. It's got some pretty good new sections, and a brand new Myer. It's doesn't have the high end and designer stores that Chadstone or Doncaster has, but for regular stores set out in a logical manner it's got much better (and free!) parking.

The owner of this place is really nice actually! I think it's his way of engaging with customers so I'm not surprised he's doing this.
He gave my friends and I some free calamari when one of our orders came out later than the others. I'll defs try to go down there for some free fish and chipsWent for an early lunch, line wasn't very long and got my order in 5 mins. Delicious. Not too oily.
