Great travel mouse, bought one from MSY!works on MacBook/Mac/PC no issues at all.

  • I like using wheel-clicks (i think it simulates the old 3rd button, I generally use it to own links in a new tab), can you do that with this mouse?

Yep, middle wheel has that click function. It can also be toggled between smooth 'fast' scroll and clicky 'precise' scroll on the fly.

I've owned the original Anywhere and this mouse - both are great if you have smaller hands and use your laptop out and about. Only negative issue that seems relatively common with the mice is the left click button can go faulty after a few months and double-clicks everything. So be sure to keep your receipt/warranty handy.

I thought that is a default feature of any mouse with the scroll-wheel.

      • It is

      • Not always: i have a Logitech MX5500 mouse and the scroll wheel doesn't have a 3rd button click

    • Thanks for the feedback. Bought, will see how the wheel-click goes.

EDIT: not bought, no local stock for click-and-collect.

Review from http://goo.gl/Z5b4DG points out this aspect as

"My biggest complaint about the MX Anywhere 2 is the lack of a middle button under the scroll wheel. Pressing down on this mouse's wheel switches between clicky scrolling and free-spinning modes. That may be fine for some, but I don't switch scrolling modes nearly as often as I middle-click to scroll through web pages and open or close browser tabs. Middle-click can be mapped to the button behind the scroll wheel or either of the scroll wheel's tilt buttons, but none of these options feel anywhere near as natural as regular middle-clicking."

      AND in conclusion as

" if you can live with the lack of middle-click, there's probably not a nicer mobile mouse on the market than the Anywhere 2."

      Hope this will help.

      • Thanks @aznain, I thought that was the way the 'hyper scroll' wheel worked. Well, I guess I'm lucky they were out of stock, I just found the lack of wheel-click too inconvenient and found the 'hyper scroll' function dumb - it just scrolls straight to the top/bottom of a page. Hadn't mentioned I had an earlier logitech mouse with that type of wheel.

        • I have the old MX Performance with the 'hyper scroll' function but middle wheel click still works. You can also change it to a clicky scrolling with a press of a button near it.

      • I disagree with the reviewer - mapping the middle button to the side tilt of the wheel is amazing, it's middle clicking made even easier and lazier.

For someone on a budget, can anyone recommend a similar bluetooth mouse? Just basic use, no gaming etc.

    • M560 and M235 are both great mouses

      • These aren't bluetooth

      • Could not find those 2 on sale now unfortunately.

  • would this mouse be suitable for moba type games?

I love this mouse, it's my all time favourite. Setting the middle click to the side click of the wheel is amazing, I hate using a normal 'click down on the wheel' mouse now, it's much more cumbersome.
I am on my second, the first started double clicking after a couple of years (I use it a lot). I remember when you could get them for $40, though I'd still definitely pay $67 and be happy with what I got.

    • I agree with you. I got mind $45.

I wonder how was the click switch rating was done. I recall it was rated millions of clicks (100s k if not) which I'm unsure if I achieved it even I am a heavy user, too :)

I still think it is a good mouse after all.

Dropped to $64 now from $80 with 20% off..

  • Not post related but the good guys themselves, can they literally adjust the amount of items you ordered ? Say I purchase two items of the same stuff and when I received ready for pick up, they reduced it to one! What gives? Haven't called yet as to why…

    Reduced to $64 now??

  • Great price for a great mouse! This beats the price match at OW I got at the retail + 10% off.

    Just a heads up:
    - No middle click button, clicking down the mouse wheel just switches between scrolling modes
    - Uses bluetooth 4.0 so if you have an older computer/laptop just note you may have to use unify & the USB dongle rather than connecting straight with BT
+ Works well on so many surfaces

Seems no stock for click and collect? so its an extra 8$ for delivery which sort of makes it not as big a discount…
